Issue resolved
I've tried it with an extender (2 inches added to the band length) and it feels much better. I think the unstretched 22 inch band compressed my back muscles too much. The wires do sit more on my breast tissue now and still poke my ribs, so likely a larger band and cup width would work better. Next time I'll order Comexim I'll try a couple of different sizes
Original problem
I thought I had found a bra that really fits with this one, but when I wear this for a full day at work I get pain in a muscle in my upper back (at my right side). This muscle hurts a lot when I wear bras with bands that are either too loose or too tight. The band of this bra feels too tight, although I can easily put two fingers and also a whole hand in between (with all my bras, actually). I wonder if this rule for a fitting band doesn't apply to me. I am lean, although it seems I have a lot of "squish" as well. I was thinking of trying this bra in a 32 or even 34. What do you all think? Would it be better to search for bras with unstretched bands closer to my true ribcage size that don't stretch out so much (eg unstretched 27, stretched 31 or so)?
Also, the cup volume feels right, although my breasts 'jiggle' (as yogurt recently mentioned in a post) a lot (happens in most of my bras, including the Cleo Juna @http://bra.pe/XW1h/). I don't think I should tighten the straps more. Are the cups maybe not tall enough? Tall cups quickly look weird on me though, because I am short waisted. Also, wires tend to dig into my sternum, so plunge styles should work best for me, but then they are often not supportive enough.
I feel like I'm getting closer to finding my true size, but I'm still not there. Any thoughts on my shape or recommendations are welcome
PS I'm going to get an extender for this particular bra, but likely it'll cause the wires to become narrower

helpfulWell you certainly can try loosening the straps, too-tight straps can cause pain. and obviously finding out what happens with an extender would be good information. I wonder if where the buckle falls has any part in it? It looks like a fairly perfect fit (bras are not for lying down in, so thats not really a factor)

helpfulI am no expert, so take this with a grain of salt! But I have pain in the same muscles in my back when I wear bras that don't support me well enough. In this case, I wonder if the straps might be too far apart for you. The viewer's right looks a little far out towards the edge of your shoulder, which could be putting pressure in the wrong place for your back.

Yes, the straps are definitely too far apart for me. I'm having trouble finding bras with narrower straps. I tried this bra with a j-hook, but then the straps become too short (it fits, but my breasts are ridiculously high up my chest that way). Maybe I should try to tilt and sew the straps inwards a little.

comexim will move straps in for free i think, when you order your next one

dbmamaz thanks! I ordered this on breakoutbras because I'm still figuring out my true size and like the possibility of returning bras, but I'd love to get a Comexim bra with moved straps and overlapping gore some time :)

Thanks for the suggestion! Good to read it's a good fit :) I've just started my bra journey and it's difficult to be objective (I get excited when I receive a new bra and often think they fit), although taking pictures and looking at them helps.
I cannot loosen the straps much more: had them all open and then tightened them 1 inch before putting on the bra today. My breasts are also not very supported in any bra, really, and loose straps usually make it worse (they hurt when I walk when they're not well supported and I'm on my period). It feels like it's really a band issue. I do tend to bend over a lot during the day, so maybe the band should be more stretchy?
