Bra fitting help » Not enough projection
Curvy Kate » Daydreamer Balcony Bra (CK5401) » 34H 34:11
So close. Gaping at the top. Wrinkling at the bottom. Not enough depth for my very pendulous, projected breasts.

helpfulSo, if your ribcage measurements are 31/32, you should be wearing a 32 band in general - and its hard to believe a 34 band only stretched to 32.5?
The top of the cup is not filled at all. It looks like either you are very FOB and this is a FOT style, or you have very short roots, or its too big.
What exactly do you mean by 'not projected enough'? I'm not sure I see anything to indicate that

Mine are very pendulous too but not short roots and very FOT when supported and gathered up a bit.

helpfulIt may not be center projected enough for you. Although this model is one of CK's most center projected. That may indicate you need to try Gorsenia K200+ balconettes: they are narrow and have excellent immediate and center projection.
If this weren't immediately projected enough, you will often see wrinkles just above the wire. As you wear this for awhile, do those wrinkles appear?
@dbmamaz , you know Panache Floris and Jasmine.... OP may need more apex projection. Would you (could you) recommend any Panache models? Would short roots disqualify Panache models?

Yes, there is wrinkling at the bottom of the cup. I've never had a bra sit in my IMF, though this one comes the closest. Basically, my boobs are shaped like discs, very short roots, hang straight down, would form a shelf if I held them straight out.
This bra is close enough that I'd be fine with it, but it's been discontinued and I need a tighter band since I've lost another 5lbs since these pics were taken and I'm not done yet.

Curvy Kate Vegas Balcony Bra (CK5601) and now Tropics are slightly updated but same shape and sizing.
-
I tried the vegas and it really didn't work. I tried the 34H and the 32HH and there was much more gaping at the top and it didn't get as close to my IMF. The fabric was also not as comfortable.
-
That's too bad! I agree the fabric is not as good. I'm still sad I didn't pick up the Daydreamer a size up when I had the chance.
-
When i was a 32J, floris was my best, and now that I'm a 32JJ, jasmine is better, but as I'm very FOT and not short-rooted, i"m not sure they would work as well. OTOH its worth a try. Note, if you've lost enough weight to go down a band size you might also need to go down a cup size. Many ppl dislike jasmine and floris because they look 'pointy' - but i finally realized its because they have more apex projection than most, and are good for 'long' boobs. But I honestly would think you might also try a 32H as well as a 32HH.
-
Thanks. I'll try those. I don't mind pointy, I figure it's par for the course when you have long boobs. I just want a bra that doesn't hurt like hell after 2 hours and the straps stay up. This is the first one that does both of those and I'm so sad that I can't get more.

They didn't work. The Jasmine 32HH came the closest, but there was gapping at the top and much more wrinkling underneath the cup. It was a good inch from my IMF. I thought it may work anyway, but it started getting uncomfortable even after just wearing it for 10 minutes. The 32H Jasmine the cup was just too small. The Floris 32HH was totally off.
I think I'll try the Gorsinia bras. I'm trying to hold of on trying Conexim and the EWA ones until I'm done losing fat.
Thanks for all the help.

good luck

I'm thinking your center projection was too much for Jasmine and Floris. Panache/Cleo gores are not ideal for center full and close set breasts especially if your breasts are closer together at the base. Their gore bases are too wide for me as are Comexim, Ewa Michalak, Curvy Kate,.....
Gorsenia bras may still require a gore alteration, but let's hope you find enough immediate projection.
-
I agree that if you have firmer close set center tissue Jasmine et. al. will probably not work for you.
-
Any guidance on the Gorsenia bras? Just any one with a number higher than 200? There are so many to choose from.
-
I'm verifying measurements and I think the Gorsenia balconettes in your size range will be too tall. Ugh. I haven't tried the Unlined half cups, but the cups will definitely be shorter than the balconettes. The wire, however, will be wider.
Sincerely, bra manufacturers are not at all prepared to help center full, close set breasts in the large breast community. But, Gorsenia offers the best center projection I've found. Still, alterations are necessary.
Have you tried CK Ellace? It is a bit wider than Daydreamer and its fabric is quite stretchy which may be advantageous to you, especially near the gore. It will not be a perfect fit either. Sigh.
@finallygotboobs
can Panache Ava accommodate this level of center projection? -
furlintdust I'm not the same size as you (I'm 65G or H in Gorsenia), but I've found that the unlined bras like Simena (discontinued unfortunately, though maybe you can find one still) and Caren have a lot of center projection and don't splay out/they keep the wires parallel for longer, which helps accommodate center fullness, especially if you're full on bottom. If you're not really that full on bottom or more event to FoT, at least in my size, the Casablanca might be a good fit. The gore splayed out too much for me and I didn't have the upper fullness to fill it out up top, but it might be a better fit for you depending on your attributes.
On Amazon, I order through OtherEden and Mio Destino and, while both require you to pay for return shipping, they both have US return locations, so it ends up being about $3-4 to return (and shipping to you is usually free), so it's not too bad if you're in the US.

I do have very short roots. My boobs are very pendulous. They are shaped like discs and would form a shelf if held out.
I've never had a bra sit in my IMF, though this on comes the closest.
I just need even more depth at the wire.
