helpfulAre you assessing band size by the fact it is riding up during wear, or by the fact you can get a hand under it? The latter is not a good test despite what some neophyte bra fit groups will claim--better quality materials can allow a band to be manually pulled much larger than it'll stretch on the body.
A 36 would not be an unreasonable proposition at all, of course, but I wanted to make sure that the 38 was really too loose. Going by the measurements, and the weight of your bust, I'd normally recommend 36 or for some people even 34, but the back shot does not show band ride-up.
You would want to go up one cup volume, so 36JJ.
Does the wide cup/wire bother you or are you just observing that it ends quite far past the breast tissue? this isn't necessarily a dealbreaker, only if it causes discomfort or another tangible fit problem.

helpfulNot a shape fit but it does tell you a lot about your shape! First, the cup fit and shape are pretty good besides the wire width. Second, you do indeed need a 36 band. Probably to get the wire width you need you will have to go Polish, but this def helps you figure out what size to get.
I think the cup depth measurement is a typo. Can you double-check?

I updated the cup depth. Sorry about that.
I was thinking I would have to go back to polish would gladys be one to try again? -
I`m not questioning your judgement, I just want to understand better for myself: What is wrong with the wire width? When she pulls back the band (pic 5), the wires seem to sit on her chest and nicely encompass her breasts, or are you referring to something I don't see?
-
In Photo 6 she shows empty space at the wire and the wire going back towards her back. She's also been comfortable in Polish bras with measurements of ~6.5 inches before. This is her 3rd fit request I've helped OP on.

Labnjab I think the Gladys would be a good one to go back to. If you can afford it, try it in 80J and 80HH.
It's too bad Elomi doesn't make bras with narrower, stronger wires. This one looks like it would have been a perfect fit in 36J/34JJ with different wires.
-
Very true it is too bad the elomi isn't built different cupandahalf on the gladys I will have to end up ordering one at a time should I go with the smaller size first or larger?
-
I'm not sure. I would start with 80J. Have you ever ordered from Levana Bratique? They are US based, stock Ewa bras and offer free returns. I think they have the Gladys bra in stock in your size.
-
Yes that is where I got the last Gladys.
I will have to wait for a refund from this one before I can order one but at least I know a size to try.

helpfulAre you sure about your measurements now? When you checked for the Ewa, you got 39 for loose ribcage at one point, then corrected to 37, now it is 36. Based on how much the band is cutting in, the difference between loose and tight ribcage must be more than 2 inches?

I can double check again I may have measured wrong and or entered the wrong number.

I updated the measurements.

Can you take a photo with the band on its losest hook? Forgot to mention that.
Based on your new measurement and the fact it´s not riding up at all, I think the band is not too large for you. The wires most likely do not sit on your chest because the cup is too small and your breasts are pushing the wires away from your body.
If the wide wires bother you, maybe Freya would be a good fit for you. They have lots of projection, are suitable for narrow roots, and the wires are quite narrow.
Freya Active might also be a good option for you - they come with and without wires, and have 4+ hooks, which make them incredibly comfortable and supportive. This one for instance:

On the loosest hook it was very loose but I can take a quick pic.
I hadnt heard of that Freya bra might be something to look into.

Pic 7 is the bra on the loosest hook

Thank you for the new pic. This is really not too large I think, it`s not riding up at all, is it?
Freyas might indeed be something to try for you! I also wear their sports bras as everyday bras because I find them so comfortable. I just got this one, you could try 40GG/H (the band is tighter than normal, so size up): http://www.wiggle.com/freya-force-crop-top-soft-cup-sports-bra-1/
I also like their regular bras, just give them a go. They have narrow wires, very good projection, and 3+ hooks for larger cups. I can recommend the new Freya Fearne, for example. Just stay away from their molded bras, they will not give you enough projection.

I was thinking the band was too loose since the underwire in the front was not staying flat.
The wide cup will end up bothering me since everytime I have worn a bra with a wide underwire it ends up cutting me.
The polish bras with the narrow wires that I have tried end up feeling more comfortable but still haven't found the right size.
