Issue resolved
I tried an extender on the overly tight band but the cups were still a bit too small - I got quadding on my larger side and the cups didn't come up high enough; I do have tall-ish roots so that doesn't help the issue but it's just not a great fit unfortunately.
Original problem
I know the band on this bra is too tight... I've measured it and I think it runs small for a 30, maybe just in this colourway because I have a 30F Clara in cream and the band is ok on me in that colour. But are the cups correct? I want to get a Clara in the right size for me because the design is so pretty but I'm not sure what size to try really - I know I need a 32 band in this style, but what cup size should I try? Thank you

helpfulI think this cup volume could actually be fine--you're likely losing depth due to the crazy tight band. Put on an extender and reassess cup fit!

helpfulIt's hard to tell from the pictures you included, but I think you need a larger cup, something with a depth closer to your laying perimeter. Here's a blog post with guidelines for how to take the most helpful bra fit photos: http://hugsforyourjugs.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/how-to-take-best-bra-fit-pictures-imgur.html.
Unless this particular color runs tight for some reason I think a 30FF would fit well.

Thank you :)
Sorry the pics aren't more helpful, I'll have a read through of that link.

helpfulI think the cups look ok actually. This cup is stretchy so you might get away with a smaller size. The band only measures 25 inches stretched? Does the cream bra fit similarly in the cup? How does the cream bra feel?
This colorway is super gorgeous on you btw. Really really pretty.

I love the colourway! I think it's pretty unusual to find anything in this shade too. Thank you :)))
I just measured it again because I was a bit shocked when I first measured it (although it actually makes sense in terms of fit because 30 bands are usually a good fit on me) and if I pull it really hard I can get it to 25 1/2 inches - should I edit the measurements? The laying flat and not stretching band length measurement confirm to my last measurement - just over 23 inches. You can see the seam on the wing being pulled too tight on me in the second pic.
Do you think a 32E is the one?

The cream Clara gives me slight quad boob/bulging at the top shape on my larger side, but fits my smaller side...so maybe it is just the blush colourway being a bit tight in the band (in my particular bra anyway).

It's hard to tell if it's the colorway or if this is just a fluke. Sometimes there are mistakenly sewed bras. I would return this one and ask for a replacement.
Since the cream one bulges at the top too I would cup up and see if it is a better fit. You can try a 30Ff and a 32F. Sometimes it takes a couple tries to find the right size for one particular bra.

helpfulIt's worth remembering that too-small cups can also make the band feel too small.
I would get a 32F and a 30FF and try both, if you can afford the temporary hit before you return one.

Thanks Wendy - I've ordered some extenders from Amazon so hopefully they'll solve the problem - I love the colour so I want to find a way to make it work!
