Bra fitting help » Will a smaller cup help with this bra on me?

Issue resolved
It's too big, not the right shape for me, and possibly defective. I'm returning it.
Original problem
I'm new here. I know that bra is probably a full cup size too big. But I am wondering if it's worth trying another size or if I should just try a different style all together. My biggest issue (aside from the size) is that it is sitting probably at least 2 inches below my IMF after just having put it on. Should I look elsewhere for a bra with lots of immediate projection? Thanks for your input!

helpfulSo, I'm guessing you have very firm and projected breasts, maybe even short roots? While Ewa's bras dont have a ton of immediate projection, this is one of her better ones. I think there is a half-cup that has even better immediate projection (i'm sized out of it tho). But it almost looks to me like its total projection as much as immediate projection. And if thats it, I have no idea at all. In my size, which has very little selection, panache jasmine and floris are very immediately projected and apex deep as well.
also i think the band is too big? Was it firm enough on the loosest hooks?

helpfulEither you miss-measured this bra or it is a lemon. Check your measurements again. A 75G measured in at 6.1 inches wides and 11 inches deep, so an inch narrower and deeper, which is weird for just a size smaller. Considering the fit on you, I'm willing to bet this is a faulty bra, made with the wrong wires, which is why it fits you like it does. I also think in this particular bra, the measurements on the 75G look way better for you, band, cup, height, and all.

This is only the second bra I've measured, so it's very possibly my error. I re-check the width. This time I was very careful to measure from the inner sides of the wires and came up with 6.5. Is that the correct way to do the cup width? The cup depth is difficult to measure with two hands, but I'm getting roughly the same number.
Thank you for the help!

Yes, that's correct. I think this bra is a lemon still though. It seems very shallow for this style. Have you tried Ewa's BM cut before? I have heard it is deeper near the wire. It's certainly narrower. You might also try a CHP, which is a padded half cup. It is a little shorter in the cup for you. Still might be too tall though. You might also try a Comexim 3HC too.
I think some of the problem you're having has to do with that wire being much too wide for you.

Oh, thanks! Actually, the BM Bibi Black is the next bra I'm going to add when I have some time. It fit well enough that I decided to give it a try at work. Unfortunately, by the end of the day I was done. The wires slipped down and forced the band to dig in to my sternum.
I was thinking of trying a Comexim 3HC next. I'll look for something with narrower wires. Thank you!

I should have said more about my shape. I am actually not firm at all, but very projected. Not sure about the short roots (I'm still figuring all this out). I'm pendulous; I get that orange in a tube sock look when I bend forward. The band felt comfortable to me (and tighter than what I'm used to), but I think that could be because the wires sit on my ribs instead of in my IMF.
Thank your for your suggestions, I'll check those out!
