Bra fitting help » center gore digs into sternum

Issue resolved
Gore is too high, wires are not flexible enough. I'll keep this bra and will change the wires with more flexible Bravo Bella wires
Original problem
I feel this is almost a perfect fit, but the center gore digs into my sternum, especially the wire close to my right breast. After a day of wearing the bra it really hurts.
Could it be that I'm wearing it too high on my torso? Would sister sizing down work better (I also bought the 28E but the band feels quite tight)? Or is the gore just too long and rigid for my shape? Any suggestions?

helpfulI'm not great at fit questions but based on picture #4 you look a little too close set for the tall gore. Sizing down may actually make the problem worse. I would suggest a bra with a narrower gore or more of a plunge style.

Thanks both of you! The wire sites a little bit on the right breast, but that doesn't really bother me. The problem is that the top of the gore punches the sternum bone. Does this happen because the wire sits on the breast?
Replacing the wire by a more flexible one sounds great. I didn't know they could be ordered online, thanks so much for the Bravo Bella suggestion! I just ordered two pairs of wires. I like the fit of this bra so much, I think I'll keep it and will see if changing the wires helps. My ribs curve out a bit, maybe that was why it's stabbing so much. In the future I'll look for bras with lower gores and will probably avoid Panache, I've read that their wires are not very flexible.

I SO hope the flex wires help. Cleo and Panache I avoid, despite my adoration of some designs, because the wires hurt. Best wishes!!!

I temporarily replaced the wires with wires from an old Victoria's Secret bra. They are a little short and don't give as much side support, doesn't hurt anymore!! I'll eventually replace them with the longer BravoBella wires when I receive them. I practiced removing the wires on on some old bras :) Thanks again for the suggestion :D
It looks like the wire may be sitting, slightly on your right breast. And, many people have no problem with this. But, my breasts passionately complain. Comexim wil overlap gores. This flat, punched-Cleo-wire can be replaced with a round, flexible Bravo Bella wire, and/or you can overlap the gore wires yourself.
Gorsenia bras have excellent center projection. There are a few newer Curvy Kate that will have a slightly more narrow gore. And, Wacoal Halo has the narrowest lower gore of any wired bra I've tried. The upper gore width, however, is an industry standard .8" , but overlapping just the top of the gore is much easier and less-issue-generating than narrowing the lower gore yourself.
Also, there may be a few bras with lower gores that will feel better, too.
Sincerely, I hope you find a solution easily.
