Bra fitting help » Wires too wide on this Elomi Caitlyn
Elomi » Caitlyn Underwire Side Support Bra (8030) » 38G 38:9
Bought this on ebay cheap to start finding my new size. I remember trying one in a store that fit me pretty well. I think I've had some side tissue migrating back, or this used bra was stretched too much, because the wire are way wide on the sides, and there is a gap to the wires of at least an inch under my breasts. It's pretty comfy but I'm still searching for my best fit. I think I'm very projected, FOT to even, close set and sort of splayed. Can I have some recommendations on what to try next?

helpfulYou know, this measures the same depth as your Panache Fern, but almost an inch wider. I keep wanting to try elomis, but I know they run really wide. Have you tried other Panache? I noticed there was a cleo you'd marked as fitting? Panache FLoris was my first best-fit bra, but its discontinued, so you might find some cheap? They have a few based on it - like Olivia and Thea. I tried Olivia when it first came out - i may have been in between sizes and not noticed, but it has a thin elastic that runs along the top of the cup that quadded on me. I just tried thea in a too-big size (it seems to have a stretchy band), but i liked the shape. and jasmine is my favorite now, but its very projected, so some ppl dont like its 'pointy' shape - but i thin it looks great under looser tops, like winter sweaters!

I need to find those bras to really delve into their fit, I've moved several times in the intervening years. I do know that they are not my go to bras, not being as comfortable as my Fantasie Rebecca 38F. I have not found any other underwire bra yet that I can stand to wear for more than a few hours.

Have you tried Ewa Michalak? Panache give me the best support but Ewa's bras are a little more comfortable. Fantasie (and Comexim) wires are softer but dont give me enough support

Not yet. I've been looking at them but haven't yet had the extra funding to risk it, when I'm still figuring out what works for me. Especially when comfort is such a big factor for me. I do like the more flexible wires and the softer materials of the Fantasie. Do you have any suggestions for EM models to try? the website is a little overwhelming, lol.

Well, I've tried 5 models but mostly only wear 3. I think only 5 come in my size, but you might fit in to some others I cant.
SF is a newer model, its got a fairly cleo-like fit, I think, but with a wider band, which i like. I wear that one band-size up, because they run tight, and keep the same cup letter (which would be 1 cup size larger)
BM is a stretchier cup, a more natural shape, but i find it the easiest fit because its fairly stretchy all over. I wear that in the same size as panache.
S is the only padded one I wear - i wear that one cup size up from my panache size. The cup is lined with cotton - which is SO comfortable, and really sweat-absorbing in the summer. The lining helps it get great lift, and it has pockets where you can put in (included) cookies - i used to put a cookie in my smaller side, but then i guess I grew a little and broke them in - and then grew more and outgrew them. I have one on its way.
Tho other ppl prefer the SM in the summer, which is sheer - its very shallow on the bottom to serve as a sort of push-up.
I'm a little bigger than you are, but you can go look at my bras and get a feel maybe

helpfulI'd go with Cleo next, the Elomi is pretty clearly too wide for you when you look at the side fit. Cleo Marcie is pretty reliable for projected, FOT/Even types. And since it's so popular, it'll give you some good ideas of where to go next even if it doesn't fit!

Yeah, looking at the measurements that I took compared to the others and the wear patterns on this used bra, I think the previous owner stretched it out a lot. Thanks for the suggestion!

oh, and amazon has free returns on some models, or free returns to a locker I think on most things now
