Bra fitting help » Cup issue and strap problem

Issue resolved
Returned bra in exchange for another brand.
Original problem
I really enjoyed the feel of this fabric, it’s extremely soft. My right and smaller breast fits very well and as you can see my left does not despite the adjustment of the straps. My second issue is that the edges near my armpits are far too close and rub. So the straps are too far apart. Third the gore does not lie flat but honestly at this point I don’t ever think it will. I have ordered a second style and two Comexium bras but the shipping from their website is the slowest I’ve ever experienced in my life. Fourth I find the band seems to slide up as I tighten the straps. Thank you all for your continued help.

helpfulA lot of Polish bras have very tall cups that are open on top. Your shape is more full on bottom with shorter roots so this Gaia isn’t a good match for your shape.
Can you recheck your body measurements? Is it possible that your vertical perimeter and laying perimeter are transposed? Also your breast base height seems a little short compared with your other measurements and what I’m seeing in your photos.

Okay I took my measurements again and I think it might have changed but I can’t remember what was there before:-/

For clarification, breast base is the same measurement as nip to neck, except it is from your clavivle to where the breast tissue stops on the torso in a straight line. If you are very pendulouse it would make sense for your vertical measurement to be a larger number than your breast base, but then I would also think you are wearing your bra down far lower than wear it shouls be. The wiires/band should be sitting directly under your breasts where the tissue stops on the torso. I agree that your measurements look oddly out of proportion.
With such shallow top tissue, you will need a xup that is either short or closed in on top to avoid gaping in otherwise perfectly fitting bra. I agree this is just a shape mis match -
Yes I agree! I see what you mean. With a pendulous breast I am unsure of where exactly to measure. I will try again tonight. I’m definitely full on bottom and need extra coverage on top to keep from over flowing. Obviously this style does not work. Any suggestions for Gaia style?

mamacatts an easy way to measure your breast base height is to put a ruler under your breasts up to your inframammary fold (where your breasts meet your chest) and make a mark with an eyeliner or lipliner pencil. Then drop your tape measure from your clavicle to the mark.
When you’re measuring your breast perimeters make sure you know where your roots end on the sides. A 12” laying perimeter seems really small compared to a 16” horizontal perimeter.
You might also take the 6 measurements and try this calculator: http://www.abrathatfits.org/brasizecalculator.php. It may give you a better idea of your size.

Thank you. Just looking and feeling now. This bra I’m currently wearing is quite a bit lower than where my breast tissue meets my chest! So I’ll update that tonight. Thank you! I didn’t even realize. Got to wait until my boys are sleeping for some mom time. :-)

Vertical is 7 and maybe 7 1/8th. Laying peremiter is 14.

mamacatts I haven't had much experience with polish style bras, and I'm in a totally different size range from you so I suggest you check out MamaPagan profile as she has had experience with gaia and is quite busty. I also recommend checking out the brands reviews. I go through the style that I like and study the women whom have reviewed them and pay special attention to those whom have a similar shape to my own.

MamaPagan -I'm seeking your expertise again! I've also ordered the Kinga "NATI II" padded bra BC-451 "BC2016" BC-451 in a 38F and have two Comexium bra's on the way directly from their website in two different sizes to see which would be better

cupandahalf any suggestions? I was thinking about trying one more style before I skip to another brand. The Maddalena style seems better in the underarm area. Also the Gaia website says I’m a 90E.
-
I don't know much about Gaia as they don't make my size. I don't think you should try a 90E though.
-
When you get the Comexims let's see how they fit! I hope they are better.
-
Sadly no! But I’ll post them now.

Oh great. I’ve just returned them without the measurements:-( but I do have pictures. I got the Emily in 85G and 85H. cupandahalf

So you're having the same problem in every bra it looks like, and that's that the depth at the apex is not enough on your larger side. But it looks like you're concerned about sizing up and getting wider wires, taller gore, floppy top (because you look short rooted as well).
Personally I think you need to look for bras that have a depth of at least 12 inches in brands that make shorter bras. Comexim plunges, lined and unlined, and some Curvy Kate bras might work for you, especially those that are closed on top like Charm, Belle, and Bardot. I think you want to go with 34 bands and try loosening the straps a bit. Once you get the depth you need you won't need the straps as tight because the bra will be lifting. Also, get a cookie to put in your smaller side so the bra pulls evenly at the gore and doesn't dig in to the larger side as much.
I hope this helps and you find something nice you like soon!

cupandahalf thank you so much for your help. Yes this seems to be the problem. I also have an issue with a plunge, especially my larger side. Generally the leather breast will fall more toward the center in a plunge. It just seems to need a little lift /poke/touch that would move it to the best spot. If that makes sense.

I guess it’s possible but I will recheck.
