Bra fitting help » Cleo Neve too big? Suggestions for better bra style
Cleo » Neve Plunge T-shirt Bra (7196) » 32DD 32:5
Issue resolved
Shape mis-match. I think the cups are too tall and shallow for me. Will be trading for another bra.
Original problem
I measure at a DD size and these cups are WAY too big for me. I don't quite fill the bottom and it just gets worse from there. The band is decent. A little tight, but not so much that I feel uncomfortable wearing it. The center gore digs a little after wearing it for an hour or so. But, when I through a t-shirt over it my breasts look great. I also feel like they are supported at the right height. If this is too big does that mean I'm actually more of a 32D than a 32DD? Is there a bra that may fit my shape better? My breasts are slightly pendulous and the top is very deflated

helpfulNeve has a reputation for being notoriously difficult to fit. It barely fits anyone perfectly.
If you're looking for T-shirt bras, look into the Freya Deco line instead. The Deco Plunge (with underwires) may be too narrow if you have wide roots, but is still worth a try. In case the Deco Plunge is too narrow, try the Deco Softcup.
Size wise, the Neve doesn't look too far off, so I'd try 32DD and 32D.Besides that, what kind of bra are you looking for?
Many people find moulded bras such as the Neve are more difficult to fit, especially as a beginner. These bras are designed with a very specific shape in mind, and if one does not have that shape, the fit is all wonky.
Seamed bras such as the Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) and the Cleo Kali Balconnet Bra (7561) are much more forgiving in terms of shape, and they do create a nicely rounded and uplifted shape as well. These two would be my recommendation as starters.Updated on August 7, 2017 Flag this

Cleo Kali is your safest bet for boobs that are fuller at the bottom (FoB).
My recommendation would be to try as many different styles as you can, because the shape that your boobs have in a bra might be different from the natural, braless shape. For example, my boobs look rather full on bottom/teardrop shaped without a bra, but I've figured out that I still need bras that can accomodate some upper fulness. Classical FoB-shapes just don't work for me. So I am even-shaped after all. It's difficult to tell without a bra.

helpfulEey, we sound like the same person! I think my shape is pretty similar to yours and I had the same problems with the Neve. Our measurements are different, but what's worked for my kind of empty, FoB shape is strapless/multiway bras. They're more closed at the top in order to hang on!
Others that have worked or almost worked for me are The Panache Andorra Full Cup (5675) and Just Peachy Eva Lace Non Padded Balconette Bra (153101) . Both of them are closed enough on the top that they don't wrinkle for me (though I did have some strap issues with the latter). Best of luck!

larkspur you give me hope! I'm finally replacing my bras after breastfeeding and it's kinda depressing. I went from very self supporting, firm breasts to some foreign dangly things because I think my top support ligaments are shot. They now look like a waterslide or ski jump. I'll look into those bras

Thanks, this is actually very helpful information. I honestly can't tell if I have wide or narrow roots. The push test that I've seen doesn't do anything and doesn't show me if I'm wide or narrow. I've liked the pictures I've seen of the Freya Deco. Do they work with very deflated top of boobs? Mine have been very droopy on top since I finished nursing.
