Bra fitting help » Too big in the cup?
Kinga » Sapphire I Super Size Padded (BC-444) » 65I 30:9
Issue resolved
I think the wires are a bit wide / the cups a bit lacking in projection where I most need it, but sadly I had to keep it to be sure.
Original problem
OK, so, not completely sure I am filling these cups all the way. When I put it on initially, there's definitely empty space at the wire; but I can swoop and scoop and fill it pretty well.
Just not sure that it will 'stay' that way, if that makes sense.
I got a 65I and a 70H, and my immediate impression of the 70H was that it was too big all over -- not sure how it would fit if I tried it on the tightest hooks, and I didn't want to stretch it out since I'm definitely going to send it back...
Basically I'm just wondering if I should try a 65H. Love this bra generally. The different patterns on both the main cup and lacy portion are gorgeous.

helpfulI think it looks great! Do you feel like the gore or sides are too tall, or the wires are too wide? If so then size down, but I don't think it looks too big.

I'm worried about my IMF, mostly. I feel like I can pull the band up and have it occupy the right space but I'm still worried about the wire and whether or not it's too wide on the sides...
Any idea how to diagnose this? :(
(The bra is really beautiful and I strongly recommend ordering one)

I think wires that are too wide can sometimes cause IMF slippage - when you take the bra off do the red marks from the wire seem beyond the end of your side root?
-
It's a new bra I'm not sure I won't return so I haven't worn it long enough to get marks :(
-
rainbrasspetals I personally find it hard to work out exactly where my roots end and fat begins on my sides, but one thing you could try is lying down on your back, no bra, and as your tissue falls to the side there should be a fold, or clearer outline, where your root ends below your armpit. Obviously you can't really see it, but maybe you could mark where you feel the root ends with a plaster or something? That might help you determine if the wires are too wide.

That's a really good idea. I have a decent idea of where they are when I'm NOT wearing a bra, I could just put one along the underside and side :|a I keep kinda feeling it, trying to judge if there's space there or not. I could also compare it directly that way to my EM BMs, which definitely are comfortable through the day. :)
My worry goes back to the 32FF - Fantasie » Rebecca Spacer Moulded Bra (2024) which i own several of in various sizes and which I regret every single one of because they all start out feeling fine and then creep out of my IMF and are hugely uncomfortable.
-
rainbrasspetals I can imagine you don't want to repeat the Rebecca Spacer experience! There's nothing worse than thinking something's perfect and then discovering it's actually a bad fit - I hope the Kinga is ok :)

I decided to wear it for a day which means keeping it.
I still feel super paranoid about my IMF and i do think it is slipping a littl but it's not uncomfortable yet.
(The plaster/band-aid trick does work pretty well I think.)
-
Fingers crossed it stays comfy! It is a really beautiful design so I hope the slippage is minor

I finished out the day in it!
The wires are a bit wide -- when I took it off finally there were lines perfectly under and between, but a bit wide around the sides.
This works for me because of my center fullness, I think -- the outer wires don't matter nearly as much as the inner because that's where my breasts tend to "fall" and need support the most.
An ideal bra would still be a bit narrower and I might try the 65H anyway to see if it's a little narrower while not losing too much depth (I have working bras that are a little smaller in the cup than this one), but it works. And it'll probably be especially good when it's Shark Week, as it is right now :)
Thanks again for your help!
I agree, you look like you're filling out the cups well. Are you worried about the lace section sticking up slightly on one side? Maybe it's just a bit starched? I love the contrast of the stripes and lace, looks lovely.
