Bra fitting help » Comexim plunge shape fits but conflicts w/ my shape?

Issue resolved
comexim plunges in my size can be on the shallow side. i should go up a cup size and the immediate projection and cup depth would probably be more suited to me
Original problem
Ok, i'm sitting here thinking about bras again. I've had good success and comfort in comexim plunges but apparently their shape conflicts with my breast shape?
I'm reading on blogs that the plunges are narrow, shallow at the wire, and projected in the apex. Hmm...they don't seem that projected to me, but maybe that's my size range (60H-HH) is shallower?
Ok, and for my shape: I'm narrow, centre-full, I think have heavy initial projection but a shallow apex.
I think they still fit me because my tissue is on the softer side (i think?), and the cup depth is less than my breast perimeter, so the bras act like a push up--moving tissue that should sit in the bottom of a cup up into the apex area?
Or are the plunges not projected as some blogs are saying?
Also is there anyone with a breast perimeter above like 8" who doesn't have immediate projection? I cannot visualize this.

helpfulIn a 90M, which used to fit me, Comexim plunges were as deep at the wire as any unlined bra I owned (in 40HH), and as deep at the apex. So I really think the depth at the wire/depth at the apex depends on the size. In the smaller sizes Comexim is expecting you to have shallower tissue it seems. The typical shape for plunge is more apex room, closed on top (an < shape), whereas the half cups tend to have a much more gradual curve meaning not as much apex projection and more open on top (an ( shape). Depending on the size you're wearing you will get more or less room at the bottom I think.
I see you've bought a lot of Comexims in 60H. Have you ever tried 60HH to see what the fit is like?
If you feel this one is comfy and you like the way it looks under clothes then it doesn't matter what others say, it fits for you.

I think you'd just have to try it, my plunges are deep enough at the wire, some of the half cups aren't.

That makes total sense, thanks. Yeah I have three in either a 60HH or 55J on the way now. 🙂

That is exciting about the three new bras on the way. I hope you are able to nail down your perfect Comexim fit. Is it weird that I am excited about others getting new bras? LOL.

no, i'm the same way! user photos and reviews are always way more informative than the brand's pics and info

Sonya & yogurt. It's because we all love living vicariously through each other! It makes it present day every time someone posts a new bra. Sure, it's not our present, but super fun to experience at the same. More than just the wonderful new information that adds pieces to our "bra puzzle", it's the shared connection....almost like virtual reality, the friendship addition.
If I had the money, I'd buy everyone bras!!!!

MamaPagan well put!!

Yes, MamaPagan, that's it exactly! And I've exchanged bras with Yogurt before so it really is like a shared connection. Nobody I know in real life gets excited about bras.

in fact, I just got a response from Zathiya after I asked about a plunge she had on sale around m y size - she said the plunges are shallow and probably wouldnt fit me. I'm surprised, I guess, that they dont fix that fit issue.

I don't think that's totally true dbmamaz, but I do think a plunge would be too short for your roots. The Comexim plunge I got was deeper at the wire than the Ewa S cut I had in the same size.

but what about at the apex?
-
Depends on the size.

helpfulOK bear with me cos I'm a little foggy today, but, you haven't listed any fit issues, and don't mention any discomfort, and the fit looks pretty workable in the photos, so could you define the fit issues you are experiencing? Or are you not actually noticing any and just reacting to the "word on the street" about how these bras are supposedly shaped and who they can fit?
As for immediate projection, you are correct, anyone who doesn't live hanging upside down like a bat and who has breasts with more than about 1" thick tissue at the apex is going to be subject to gravity and will thus have a certain amount of immediate projection. Bras don't need to precisely match our exact breast-base projection to fit (although some people seem super fixated on this especially towards the beginning of their bra journey). The principle of "close enough" is key here. It is absolutely normal for wires not to be jammed up in your IMF so tight that you can't see even 1/4 inch of uninhabited cup right above the lowermost point of the underwire. I happen to have a quite monstrous degree of overall projection both at the base and the apex of my breasts, so very few bras can even get close to being really in my inframammary fold, but it doesn't follow that none of them fit. It's only when the mismatch is significant enough that 1/4 or more of the mass of my breast isn't supported and effectively lifted off my ribcage that it becomes a problem (that fraction may change depending on your shape, size and personal preference).

It looks beautiful on you. I wonder if you would be better fit in a 60HH with a cookie in your smaller side.

See, Zathiya just emailed me saying she thought the Annika plunge she has on sale wouldnt be deep enough for me
