Bra fitting help » Cups or band too tight, maybe both?
Thirdlove » 24/7 Classic T-shirt Bra » 30C 30C
Issue resolved
I didn't get this bra fitting, tried multiple sizes. Maybe the wrong shape
Original problem
It seems like the cup and band may be slightly tight or just the cups?... IDK

helpfulIt doesn't look tight from the pictures. It actually looks like a decent fit: The cups are filled out, the wires are not distorted. Although the mark in #10 looks like the wire is slightly too wide for you. When you stick your finger into the cup next to the wire at the sides, is there empty space?
A bit of back- / side fat is perfectly normal as well as red marks, but yours are barely visible.
However it should be way too tight according to these measurements. Are you sure these are correct?
If the stretched band length is equal to your tight ribcage measurement, you shouldn't be able to breath. Can put a few fingers under the band and take a deep breath?Updated on July 9, 2018 Flag this

It actually would stretch further than 27 inches but when I did it got distorted and after trying a bra on the wings are clearly stretched and look distorted when I take it off I think I'm going to keep it and just get a extender. Will the wires being right at the edge of my breast tissue cause any problems or do you think it will eventually stretch out?
-
Also I did decide to just take the tag off and keep it I haven't even made it to work yet which is about 30 minutes from my home and it's causing pain between my shoulders. Maybe the extender will help with that?

The wings are meant to stretch. And the wires are also pulled wider when you wear the bra, thats normal. I think you are supposed to stop stretching before you are pulling it out of shape, or when it get really hard to stretch any further. But there is no accurate definitely for this measurement.
The wires should follow your breast tissue as close as possible but not sit on it.
If your shoulder hurt try to loosen the straps. And if that doesn't help, try an extender and or a 32B. You probably don't need that much support in this size range. So there is no point in suffering in a bra that is tighter then necessary.

Im going to try an extender because working in it was a bit awkward today and it left red imprints all the way around and hurt a little between the breasts. Im worried that If i try a 32 B the cups Will fit differently, like the gore size and separation. Am i wrong about that?

“Im worried that If i try a 32 B the cups Will fit differently “
That's really hard to predict. I only tried three bras in a sister size up so far (28F to 30E): My 30E Cleo Marcie had wider wires and slightly larger cups while my Panache Andorra was too narrow and gave a bad shape in a 30E. The Freya Rio was exactly the same fit but looser.
I guess it really depends on the bra. But wearing an extender can also make the cups narrower since there is less tension on the wires.
If the wires poke your chest, you can try bending them a little. Also try to put the bra on backward with the straps pointing down. If the band doesn't feel too tight that way, something is wrong with the cups.

aboobaccount . i think in #10 you're seeing my surgery scar, the wires definitely rest along the edge of my boobs or just outside them

I highlighted the mark I mean here: http://bra.pe/IkR7/
I thought the tip of the wire could be too wide for you causing discomfort. But it's always difficult to tell where the wires actually sit based on the marks since your skin can shift a little when the bra comes off.

helpfulThe band is definitely too tight for your ribcage. I used to have exactly the same measurements and my then good fitting bras had unstretched band lengths of about 62-64 cm and stretched up to 72/73cm (meaning the point, there the stretching gets harder, stretching way further distorts the bra!)
The cup cuts into your inner tissue because it is too shallow there. That might be because of stretching the bra too much, but it could also be due to the cut of this bra in general.Updated on July 14, 2018 Flag this

I bought an extender because I took the tag off to use for work when I was in a bind.
Giving just extra clip makes it more comfortable even though i still think there's some thing minor making it Not the best fit..maybe the cups come too low or high, making it appear to cut into my breast tissue a bit -
Any recommendations for a particular bra style or any thing?

helpfulI think this looks like a really decent fit. The band looks 100% good. Make sure you try the bra on upside with the cups behind you so you can test if you really feel like it is too tight.
It also looks like if you did a good Scoop and Swoop that you would start quadding alot more than the pictures suggest.
Could also be that you are simply not used to feeling a nice snug band, the extender will help alleviate that till it loosens up a bit.
It also looks like the gore could be sitting on some some breast tissue, it's kind of hard to tell. If you can, wear the bra w/o the extender for a couple hours and then take photo's on the markings as I can't see them at all!
I definitely think the cups are too small, but if you got the 30D you would probably end up suffering from wires much too wide and a cup too tall.
ThirdLove bras are created to make the badly fitting/sized "high street" sizes look better on, so they generally have issues in general IMO.
Are you Scooping and Swooping every time you put on a bra?Updated on August 2, 2018 Flag this

I do scoop and swoop however i realised that some times. Im moving my band around after causingit ti readjust to a bad fit, again. I do have overflow in this a bit at 1st but it settles down( i think from the band being too big
-
I lean over, put the wires around my boobs, hook the bra, pull the tissue into the cups from the sides and bottom, stand up and mess with the straps a bit or tug on the band a little, But i try not to mess with it too much after standing back up again.
But the band is definitely not too big, atleast it doesn't look remotely big. My loose underbust is about 27" and I generally wear a band that stretches to that (or more as long as it's not moving around my body).

I'm in agreement with the other comment that it looks pretty good. The only thing that I spotted is that it looks like the wire is on breast tissue at the wire. Agreed that the measurements don't match up. Have you tried it with an extender at all?
