Bra fitting help » Straps too far apart and rubbing.
Curvy Kate » Ellace Balcony Bra (CK4401) » 34G 34:9
Issue resolved
Resolved by altering straps and getting a different size to adjust for tightness of this particular bra.
Original problem
The first time I put this bra on it felt very tight but the cups fit (gasp!). I wore this around for an hour or so to see how it felt. The band felt maybe a little too tight but supportive, like it was holding up my breast properly. My issue comes with the straps which seem to be too far apart and digging into my underarm/rubbing and leaving red marks. Also a secondary issue is when I have a fitted t-shirt on, you can kind see the unevenness of my breasts.

helpfulTry adding a side picture so we can see the problem area you are describing. One of each side would be good, really. With the arm raised so we can see where hte bra hits you under the arm.

helpfulSide pictures would be very useful to talk about your specific problem. I wanted to note that when I look at your "looking down" image I can see that you're not wearing the bra up high enough. Women with pendulous breasts has their breast tissue hang down below their root/IMF. They have to lean over, put the straps on, and physically push the under wires up to their IMF because if you just try to wrap the bra around where the bottom of the breast is, the under wire will sit under the breast instead in the IMF and they will never get properly supported. I realize you say it's the best the cups will fit, but it looks too small even for your smaller breast and your bra looks like it needs much readjustment.

helpfulSo, not sure if the measurements were there before, but you are showing this size 34 bra only stretching to 31 inches - which is much too small for you. Have you tried adding an extender? I can see the outside of the wire is digging in to you, but it doesnt look to be too wide or narrow or tall, really. So I'm wondering if the bra is just too tight? Do you have an extender you could try? Also try loosening the straps to see if that takes some of the pressure off of your arm, which I guess is where it was bothering you?

helpfulOk so I have the same problem with Curvy Kate. You have a few options- use a racerback strap or converter, which will take the straps out of your armpits.
If you sew you can move/alter the straps.
Get a bigger band (36FF) and hook on a tighter hook, which will bring the straps closer together in the back, moving them off your pectoral muscles. After the intial stretch, my Ellaces did not stretch out at all, so this may bring you better comfort in the long run anyway.

Thank you! I’ll try that.
The cup fit, meanwhile, looks phenomenal!
