Issue resolved
Straps too short, slight shape mis-Match.
Original problem
The bra feels really....odd..overall. It technically fits aside from that darn lace not sitting flat and the straps being about a half an inch too short. The under wires feel like they're...constricting me and the straps being too short make the bra feel even more uncomfortable. Do you think I could go up and band size and perhaps down a cup size for optimal fit and comfort in this bra?
None of my other Cleo bras feel like this one.

helpfulYou could sister size, but honestly I've never seen this exact construction work well in your size range unless the wearer had small, but distinctively fake and round implants. It is designed for a short, projected, completely taper-less boob shape with significant upper fullness (that's why the high coverage upper panel is shaped like it is). Pixie also seems to run tight in band and large in cups.

helpfulTo me it looks like the wires are too narrow and pinching or squeezing your roots, while the top of the cup is too closed and thus sliding down to make more room, casing wrinkling. It also honestly looks like the band is a little tight but because the straps are too short it's being pulled up in the back. It could also just be the elastic to band tension is off, however.

Oh yeah. The straps pull up the top of the cups so if they are too short they screw up the cup fit, and pull up the back of the band, causing it to be unstable. Plus it's going to cause shoulder pain over time.

Do you think there is a way I could try the bra on to see how it fits with the correct strap length without having to chop the straps off add more length?

helpfulI think this bra is just too closed on top and too projected for you. You need a bra that is more open on top because you have taller roots than this bra accommodates

I appreciate the comment, but generally speaking open top bras don't work for me unless I buy a cup that is too small. I don't have much upper fullness and cannot generally fill out open top cups.

It looks like you have tall, shallow roots, and a very closed on top cup will cut into that. Which other bras for you well? I would recommend the b.tempt'd Ciao Bella

Generally speaking bras that close in on top work best for me, the comexim plunges, almost every Claudette bra I've tried. I do i have tall roots, but functionally speaking i might as well have short roots. A five inch tall cup literally covers my whole breast, while there is breast tissue above the point (2 more inches worth) that tissue will never be contained in the cup. So I disregard it. My favorite and best fitting bras are my Mimi Holliday super plunge bras that barely have a cup height of 3.5". Those are open top, but they stop just where i am most full. My Cleo Maddie has a bit over a 4" height and it is super close to gaping at the top be cause of how open it is. I find my tall roots are negligible and if I ever do get cutting in it is mostly unnoticeable.

helpfulThe band and underwire issue make it sensible to try sister-sizing up, but then the too large cup would be even more apparent. (Because a too-small band keeps pulling the cups flat and eliminates cup volume this way.)
To be honest, I've never seen the Pixie work on someone in our size range (E cup and under). The cup shape is just too projected and requires a lot of fulness and projection overall.I'd give the Cleo Marcie a try, it's a very similar shape, but much less projected. It works on a wide range of boob shapes, especially on the smaller cup size spectrum.

Unfortunately, Marcie is unavailable in any size i could wear (Though I could like pull off the 30D) . It seems like all my fit issues here with this bra stem from the straps being about an inch too short so it's pulling everything up really tight. And I don't think there's much anyone can do about how firm this wires are. The other Cleo's i have are molded cup bras and the wires are padded on those, so I was not expecting such firmness. If I filled up this bra any more than i am, I'd be falling out! :-P
Thank you for your response though, i had a feeling it would be a bit off a shape mis-Match, but I couldn't turn it down with the scarcity of Cleo non-padded 28D. I've been able to find some 30B's....and I keep almost buying them.....I want them....but I dunno how a whole cup size smaller would fit with this one fitting the way it does..... -
With firm wires, it makes a HUGE difference how tight the band is!
I couldn't wear Marcie in 30E without pain, but 32DD is absolutely fine. Same wires, but they FEEL totally different.
Also, strap length increases with band size (straps of a 32DD being slightly longer than 30E, for example).
That's just how Cleo bras are scaled.Projection and cup size are not the same thing. Cup size is about volume, projection is about shape. A bra with the right volume that's too projected is still not going to fit (and it's going to wrinkle exactly like Pixie in these pictures).
It's a pity that Cleo is not making any bras in your size any more!
I think a 30C Marcie would definitely be worth a try, if you can find one. 30Bs... Why not, but be aware that Cleo is using different wires with those and the center gore is going to be lowered. Also, I always encourage ordering bras for science (if your budget allows and/or you can return them)! I had some very surprising discoveries that way, and found a few bras that fit that I'd never expected to do.

Well, after going threw all the pictures of women in this bra I see the same weird tension going on in the band. The band is comfortable for me, but I could be comfortable in the 30 band too. They seem to run one side small. I need at least another inch of strap though. I think this bra may not have been made that well (not quality of fabric wise) , every women either had an in cup quad boob between fabric of the cup and the mesh section or it looks like mine here with the wrinkling. The cups are a good width for me, I can go down to 4.3" width. Do you think the straps being too short could really change the fit of a bra?
