Issue resolved
It’s hard to properly assess the problem because the bra is old and therefore less supportive, but it may be the wrong cut for my shape. I am going to try a new 34G Pl and 34FF Sf next.
Original problem
I’m nearly two weeks postpartum and this is the closest thing I have to a fitting bra. A few things seem off about it, though.
I’ve never really had plunges that actually fit before, so I don’t know how much they’re supposed to cover, but it seems like maybe it should be more than this? As the angle shot shows, it’s only covering about half my boobs. Areolas are sticking out. And it just doesn’t feel secure.
But on the other hand, the cups are still a little bit wide, the straps are way too wide, and there’s a little empty space at the very top of the cup by the strap (I couldn’t get a good picture of this).
The band feels good on the loosest hook, and the straps have plenty of space to adjust either way.

helpfulIt just doesn’t look supportive.
Is it older? It might be a bit worn.
Maybe the shape is too open for you now you are nursing?
It looks like the straps are too wide and doing a lot of lifting. I wonder if a bra with a more robust structure would help (wider hand, thicker straps, a bit more gore)? As far as the strap gap goes, that’s completely normal for your shape. You are a little omega now so your roots are narrower than your breasts. Very normal.

Oh that’s me too. In this case, the fact that you are a few millimeters away from a nip slip should mean the bra is too small or just not the right shape.
I’m wondering if you should be trying 75FFs or Gs for now in a style that’s a bit less plungey?

This all makes sense. It is definitely older- I got it used from here a couple years ago and wore it for a few months after my last baby was born. The band is probably stretched out a lot more now than it was when I first got it.
And good to know the small bit of emptiness is normal. I used to always wear cups that were too big, and now that I’ve realized that I tend to take every fit issue that *sometimes* indicates too large of cups as a sign that I definitely am wearing too large of cups, lol. But I do know wide straps are a common problem people have with this brand.
