Bra fitting help » Band rides up in back if I move too much
Elomi » Soraya Plunge Bra (4270) » 42G 42:9
Issue resolved
I sized down to a 40GG, and so far it is FABULOUS.
Original problem
Although I personally think this bra fits well, there's something wonky going on with the band in the back. It may just be my fat, but if I move around too much, it rides up on me.

helpfulMaybe this band is just stretchy. It says it stretches to 45.5, but your comfortable ribcage is 41.9. Maybe you need to try a 40 (and cup size up if you go band size down).

helpfulI did not find the band as stretchy as you are experiencing, but it was a bit more stretchy than mesh bands. Non mesh Elomis I own have bands that basically never really stretched out so you can try it on tighter hooks without worrying you are shortening its lifespan. I have this bra in 40JJ. I do think the short straps are pulling up the back maybe. This happens on my Sachi sometimes.
Suggestions:
A. You can try it on the tightest hooks.
B. You can try a 40GG.
C. You can try an Elomi Matilda, Kim, Jodi, Charley, Moonlit, etc. which have similar shapes to this one but different band and strap materials.
D. If you feel like sewing you can add your own straps or add length to these straps.Good luck!

helpfulHave you tried loosening the straps? Sometimes when we are used to bras that dont really fit, we get in the habit of over-tightening the straps. they should be just tight enough to not fall down, not much more than that. also, see if you can get a better side picture (less blocked by your arm) - it looks like its stretched wrong there to me, but i cant really see

dbmamaz they are fully loosened. That’s how I try on all my bras: loosest straps, loosest hooks .

How do they feel in this position? Is there more tension than usual in other bras with well-fitting straps? Do you generally find that you need to use every last inch of strap length, such that a bra with a slightly lesser length than average could present a problem? If they are shorter than you need strap length could be the culprit. If not, however, then there's only one explanation--you need to size down in the band.

This bra has really short straps in comparison with other Elomi styles, just for context. This, Sachi, and Tia which share the same strap material.
In the pic it looks like they're all the way loosened :/
