Bra fitting help » Wrinkling along bottom and outer edges of cups, gore not tacking. What next?
Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) » 32FF 32:8
Issue resolved
Moved on to trying new bras that may fit my shape.
Original problem
There is wrinkling along the bottom and outer edges of the cups, the gore does not fully tack (it may be resting on my breast tissue?), and there is the slightest of quadding in the upper lace part of the cups. Other than these issues, this bra is comfortable.
I have tried the 32G, but the wrinkling along the bottom and edges were even more apparent; however, the gore did tack. I do not have any other bras to use as a reference, unfortunately.
I am an even 2/5 when properly supported and believe I'm projected. I also have prominent "puffy" nipples that get squished when I'm wearing bras, so when I measured, I gently squished them down with the cloth measuring tape.
What does this fit say about my breast shape? Did I just pick the wrong size? I would love advice and suggestions!

helpfulThe wrinkling on the bottom generally means that the cup is too shallow on bottom for you, and the gore not tacking means that the cups are too small and/or you have more center fullness than the bra can handle. Is the bra sliding down on you? The wrinkles on the bottom aren't an issue unless the bra starts to slide down during the day. Did you keep the 32G? Can you test wear it for a few hours and see if it slides down?
I'm not familiar with this model of Panache but I found that the two I did try in 32G are shallow on bottom with wide wires (Andorra, Jasmine). I'd try out another brand and see if they feel any different.

shaboohshoobah The only bras that are narrow enough and projected enough for me is Ewa Michalak's BM cut. Everything else I've ever tried slides.

Sovavosi Thank you for the response! I was kind of thinking that this bra was just too shallow for me. I don't think it was sliding down, I made sure to push the wires into my inframammary folds.
And no, I didn't keep the 32G. It was far too large in the cups to the point of looking ridiculous. I'll be sure to try out different brands! I was looking into the Ewa Michalak brand, but I can't seem to find where they are sold. I live in the U.S.
Do you happen to have any recommendations for me based off of this fit? -
GoobyMars I don't really recommend EM to start because they're not easily picked up in the US. Levana Boutique sells them (https://levanabratique.com) but I've never bought from them so I don't know how their returns are.
If you do want to try EM, what size you get really depends on what cut you want. I don't know how the cuts differ for your size range, so I can't be of much help. Some folks need to size down on the BM/CHP cuts, and size up on the PL/S cuts. EM's band lengths are all over the place, so based on the measurements here you might need a 75F (34F).
This bra is available in both 75F and 75E, so this might be a good contender for trying out which BM size works for you: https://levanabratique.com/lace-bra/
That site seems to list bras in US sizes so go with the EU size in parenthesis.
A BM has stretch lace on the top so it'll be able to lie flat even though you might not fully fill out the top.

Sovavosi I'll check them out for sure if none of the others I plan to try on (Cleo Hettie and Kayla, Curvy Kate Ellace, Freya Fancies and Patsy, Panache Jasmine, etc.) fit me. Thanks for the informative response!

Levanas returns are excellent, as is their customer service. I highly recommend them.

helpfulI wonder if your root is wider than it's long as it is in my case. I am very petite, so the gore of many bras is too high, too far apart, or both. It also means that the wire is oftentimes too long for me, which leads to the wrinkling at the bottom of the cups. I find I need the width of the wires but not the length. Have you considered going down in the band to 30 and up in the cup size? Perhaps the wire will be slightly shorter. Also, have you considered trying the Panache Andorra? It's a stretch lace, so it conforms better to the individual's breast better than something like the Envy.

shaboohshoobah I have considered trying a 30G in this bra! In fact, I'll be able to try it within the next few days, along with others when I go to Nordstrom.
I was considering trying the Panache Andorra, but I was concerned that the reason for the wrinkling at the wire was because the cups were not projected enough for me. If I'm able to find it for free shipping and returns, then I'd be all for trying it out. -
Does your Nordstrom stock 30 bands? Mine tends not to. If you don't know from past experience that it does and haven't already, you might consider calling ahead. Otherwise, you can try online retailers like Herroom. That's where I end up getting most of mine since my band size ranges from 28 to 30.

shaboohshoobah I'm not too sure, actually, but I think so. When I choose the 30G on their website and select my location, it says it's available for pickup, so I think that means they would have it there. May as well go regardless just to try on the others that they stock!

helpfulThe gore wrinkles radiating from the base of the gore indicate you need more space for center fullness. You *may* remedy this by adding a few stiches at the base of the gore to narrow it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't Good luck!

Love4Pollinators I actually chose to return it the following day after posting this because it just didn't fit and I didn't want to settle. I don't know the slightest thing about stitching either, so I suppose it works out

As someone who experiences a similar problem, I haven't managed to find any bra company whose bras have a fuller bottom cup. I've tried Chantelle, Passionata, Freya (that seems a little better), Prima Donna (bottom ok, the center top quad boob since the cups seem geared for breasts that point outward), Betsey Johnson, etc. Some Prima Donna Twist has been better because the center gore is narrower. For me, the more stretch the cup has, the better the fit.
