Bra fitting help » Strap/cup digs into arm
Panache » Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951) » 30HH 30:12
So I like the shape the bra gives me and the stretch lace is great because my left side is larger than my right. My problem is this bra digs into my right arm. And it’s pretty painful. It almost makes hard to pull my arm forward because it hurts so much. This is a problem I have with almost every bra because I size up to fit my larger breast. I’m at a loss as to what to do to fix it or even what bras to try that would be better.

helpfulThere are several things we could suggest/recommend but before worrying about those I would try loosening the straps to the max--as much as you can without causing them to fall off during your day--and readjust yourself, and see if that helps at all. SO many people i.e. almost everyone who has just been resized, has a lifelong habit of overtightening straps, because that is what you genuinely need to do in a too-loose band if you want to get any lift. Here with a firm 30 band, there is strictly no looseness to compensate for, so you don't need tight straps at all; however, if you do overtighten, they may saw into your tissue painfully.
(I'm sure everyone laughs when they see me repeat my strap tightness gospel because I must sound like a broken record, but I don't see others mentioning it often, and it does turn out to be the source of the problem sometimes, so I'll continue!)
If it is the wire or some other part of the bra that is hurting you, and not the strap or the side of the wing extending down from the strap, then you might want to elaborate more in your post, so we can troubleshoot. Hang in there!

helpfulI think this model just has wide and high cups which can make it cut in near the armpit especially if you have a short torso and a large cup size. You may want to try a narrower style like the Cleo Marcie.
For comparison, This is how the sides look on me (link to bra):
Cleo Marcie: http://bra.pe/IhcW/ (http://bra.pe/XYLq/)
Panache Jasmine: http://bra.pe/Ihg3/ (http://bra.pe/XYNh/)The cup volume is roughly the same. The Marcie just looks smaller because the cups don't stretch.
You could also search for bras with with a smaller side wing height or wire length. This usually means that the cups don't come up quite as high on the sides. Or go down a cup size if there is enough empty space on your larger side.
You can search by measurement like this (hope the link works):

I am in your size range, and I have this problem with a lot of bras. Panache as a brand seems to be a particularly bad offender. I think they have a problem sizing the cups correctly for someone with our frame, 30 underbust. Panaches are constantly digging in to my armpit and the side of my arm, I think it is literally because they are just cut too wide at that part of the bra. I have found Polish bras to be much better in this regard.

Thank you. Which polish brands do you like? Maybe I’ll check out some of them :)

I wear Comexim almost every day. Feel free to check out some of my owned bras and reviews of them, it might be really helpful to you. You can get comexim fairly easily from breakoutbras in the us, with good customer support, return policy etc.

helpfulHad to download and enlarge the picture, stil a bit hard to see though. Say, is it me or the underwires sit a bit low with respect to the breast base ? It looks like there's some "flatening" going on. Which will effectively result in the straps being pulled towards the inner armpits due to lack of the projection they need to stay a bit away from the body.
Sometimes happens to me, the outwards apex portion rubs and hurts. Too much band tension and shallow side panels force the underwires apart and the straps can't cope with the resulting "splash" while flesh gets pinched and flows above the sides towards the back.
Some models can't be sized, there'sno cure for side-panel issues.

wendybien thanks! I’ll try to loosen them a little more. I know my right side, which is my problem side, is almost completely loosened up. And the wire isn’t poking me, just the strap and top part of the wing that are digging in my arm :) Thanks for the suggestion!
