Bra fitting help » Parfait Charlotte - Perfect fit, but the wires are digging in sternum & sides

Issue resolved
In the future I will probably upsize to a 30DD. I decided to host a giveaway for this bra on my blog.
Original problem
The band is a true 26"- I can fasten it easily, and it doesn't feel too tight. The cups fit fine, no gaping or quadboob. Really, the only minor issue are the straps which are on the wide set side. But.
The wires are practically assaulting my sternum and sides, a problem / specific pain I so far have identified with too small bras (my Curvy Kate Criss Cross (CK7001) in 28DD being the prime example). What should I do? Exchange for a 30DD? 28F? Bend the wires? I really want to wear this bra as I like the shape, fit, and the firm band, but it's really uncomfortable to wear.. help pls
(I also contacted LargeCupLingerie, the retailer I purchased it from, for advice)

helpfulUnfortunately without moving the straps inwards there is not much you can do. Once you get into the smaller band sizes the straps never seem to reflect the fact that since you have a small ribcage means most likely your shoulders are narrower. Bras from polish brands IE Comexim; Avacado and Ewa Michalak seem to fit the narrower shoulders a bit better,

So it is not the band causing the wires to dig, but the strap position? Perhaps because the straps are pulling in an odd directing?

Sorry I was just commenting on the wide straps you mentioned in the beginning of the post. But Maybe the gore is too high and has hit a notch in your sternum and the wires are digging in because of that. I know the bra once I got it too tack would dig in because it was just too high of a gore for me. Do you have other bras that are similar in shape and gore height that cause this problem.Have you tried bending the wires outwards on the ends to they don't dig in. I have done this and it has helped.

helpfulIf you're feeling a lot of pressure from the wires and the stretched band length is the same as your ribcage measurement, I think the band may be a bit too tight. Could you try it with an extender and see whether that makes the wires any more comfortable? If so, 30DD might fit better (maybe 30E if you think the cups are also too small).

Thanks for the tip! I'll buy an extender tommorow, will let you know how it works out :)

Okay so, even with three extenders (the bra is by then basically falling of me if it weren't for the straps), the gore is STILL stabbing me.
The wires on the side are much more comfortable with one extender however, and the stabbing does lessen.
What do you think I should do?

Maybe wear it with the one extender and put a folded tissue (or a cotton pad) under the gore for the first times you wear it.

helpfulYour issue look like mine in the Curvy Kate Thrill me in 28F or Tease Me in 28FF (about the painfull wires, not about the straps). At first, I though theses bras fitted me, even the band (a stretchy 28, medium or tight 30, similar to my other bras). I bent the top of wires outward, it was a bit better but not much, and I tried it with an extender, it was wearable, not painfull anymore but not really confortable. I think my bra's wires were painful not only because of the band, but also because they are not stretchy, they are "heavy", "solid", very "full bust bra which need to support a lot ", and I think they just put too much pressure on me because my breasts do not weight enough.
Are your bra's wires "heavy" too (comparing to your Ewa Michalak Satine for exemple ? ) ? If yes, I think you should try the size 30DD.
Personnaly, I can wear a bra with wires similar to Ewa Michalak with the band tight, but I can't do it with wires similar to the Curvy Kate Thrill Me or Tease Me.

Thanks for your help! The wires indeed feel very heavy and sturdy, a problem I, just like you, also had with the Tease Me. I'll buy an extender tomorrow, I'll let you know how that works out :)
I can always attach two extenders- saves me shipping money!

I jist bought this bra and i will probably also have this issue. Can you move the straps in without the seams cutting into your boobs though?
