Bra fitting help » Is this bra too small in the cup, or is it just that it's a soft cup?
Panache » Sophie Support Bra (5826) » 28F 28:7
The center gore doesn't lie flat at all (but I'm guessing it's just the type of bra it is), and there is a little spillage at the top. Do I need to switch it for something with a larger cup size, or does this work well enough on me that I should use it? I got it from someone on here, and don't want to lose tons of money on it if it works, but I don't want to miserable down the line. So if anyone with experience wants to say what they think I'd appreciate it.

helpfulYou're right about the centre gore, it doesn't need to lay flat on a soft cup because it's underwires that tack it to your chest.
That said, I still think you'd do better in a cup size up here, due to the spillage at the top and sides. But, seeing as it's a soft cup (no underwires to dig in/sit on tissue etc) it depends what you want to use it for (I'd probably wear this for bed/lounging around for example), if it's comfortable then by all means wear it if you want to because it's not an awful fit, but I wouldn't recommend having it as a daily-bra.

helpfulA soft cup won't tack, as @amy_rebecca said. It's too small on the right side, but probably OK on the left, and likely what many fitters would tell you was acceptable. I wore bras that fit like that for years, before I knew how to find my correct size. Will you be miserable down the line, as you suggest? As you learn what fits properly, you will move on from this bra and be more comfortable. If you need to keep this one while you search for a proper fit, and can't afford to replace it, you'll be OK, but you'll know you can do better.
If you cannot wear a wired bra and you go up a cup size, you will most likely (almost certainly) lose lift and support. Everything's a tradeoff.

helpfulBased on the gore that doesn't tack you should go up at least a couple of cup sizes. A gore that doesn't tack and band that fits indicates a both too loose band and too small cups.
