Bra fitting help » Difference between sister sizes

Issue resolved

I was afraid to buy a bra thinking that it wouldn't fit, so I had some stupid noob questions.

Original problem

Hi,

I live in Greece and I'm about to buy my first bra online. I want to be as certain as I can before I do so.

I've tried several calculators. One suggested that I'm a 32FF, which seemed to be the most accurate, as I think that it got the band right.

The bra in the picture is a 38D, which I bought years ago and stretched it to hell and beyond. 38D and 32FF are sister sizes, right? If so, does it mean that the cups are the same size but the bands are not?

In the picture, I've pulled the band down to my waist but it's still loose. If I pull a bit tighter, I get a bit of quadraboob. Does that mean that I need to go up a cup? OTOH, the bottom of the cups stays empty. Or could that be because it's the wrong shape? The underwires sit where my ribs end in the front.

The photos are awful but I hope you can still help me.
