Issue resolved
Returned the bra and have had more luck with felina
Original problem
HI everyone, after all of your tremendous feedback, I ordered what I felt was the most appropriate bra for me in the size that was suggested. I'm pretty sure cups are too small...but not sure if I'm being a "weenie" about the band. It's certainly what I would call uncomfortable, but I'm also not used to the way the balconette style feels. I don't think I want to try this model again, even in the correct size (32DD? 34DD?). Any suggestions? Thank you

helpfulJuna tends to run a little small in the cups - this isn't uncommon with padded bras. Also, the underwires aren't as wide (i.e. don't reach as far back) as some of the Cleos. To me (and the side photo is a touch dark), this looks like it's sitting on a fair amount of your breast tissue on the side, and you want the underwire to sit just behind your breast tissue. Based on this, I would guess that you need to go up at least two full cup sizes, particularly if you want to stick to a 32 band.
I do find the Juna band a bit stretchy, for what it's worth. My "comfortable band" measurement at the time I bought it was 30.5, and I gave a 32 a try. Within a very short time (a day or two), it was stretched out too large to wear. I re-bought it in a 30, and it was quite comfortable after a day or so. Remember that if the band feels too tight, it's often due to the cup being too small.
Have you tried Cleo Lucy? It has a wide gore (so, the cups that are set a bit wider on the band), as well as wider underwires that reach a bit further back. I would think this might be an easier fit for you than Juna.
Good luck! I hope you can get this to work for you.

The Juna in the right size actually can give a nicely round, uplifted shape under a T. The vertical seam can show under some fabrics, but it's not at all prominent. I used to fret about non-molded bras showing, but they generally can't match a seamed bra in terms of shaping and support, I've come to terms. :) Under fitted Ts, I'm happy to wear either Juna or Lucy (or, well, was when they fit - I need to bra shop!).
Lucy also give a nice, rounded profile under shirts. As mentioned, the gores are fairly wide, and the underwires reach further back - something that might be better for you. Some feel it also runs small in the cup, but I think that depends on how full on the top you are, as the top of the cup doesn't have a lot of give to accommodate very full on top breasts (I'm moderately full, and I've never had a problem with it). I also think the cups are a bit deeper than Juna.
I did think, at least in my size, that Lucy had just a tad less stretch in the band than Juna (or, rather, they're both stretchy, but Lucy bounces back, and Juna tends to stretch out). At 33, you might prefer the 34 band.
Bras I Hate has a very good review of the Lucy that you might find helpful; it's also been reviewed a lot here.
Best of luck!

I would try a bra extender and I agree that the band would feel looser if you were wearing the right cup size. I would try a bra that has at least a 9.5 inch depth in the cups instead of 6.5 inch depth. 32F Juno has 9.5 inch depth in the cups since your breast perimeter is 11 6.5 would be too small for you. I would try cups that have a depth of 9.5-10.5. you could wear a an 11 inch cup depth in certain bras up if the cup shape is right for you. Bra fitting is a very complex and sometimes tricky thing. But this website is helpful. Thanks to all bratabase girls!

I did a lot of research on Lucy last night, and I think I'm actually going to give the Juna another go at it...except this time I ordered in a 32F and 34F so that I have apples to apples to compare. Your suggestions were enormously helpful, yea Bratabase I don't know how I got by for so long soooooooo wrong!

helpfulYou're not being a weanie. You comfort is your comfort, and you shouldn't compromise that. Based on your measurements and fit I'd try out a much larger sizes like 34E or higher.

Thanks Jillsas I learned here that a snug band provides most of the support and that a 36 was way too big for me...suppose I swung too far the other direction. I need to think "Goldilocks" I suppose ;)

Exactly. I did the exact same thing, for a much longer time. I have scarring under my breasts as a result. I'd like to prevent that from happening to as many people as possible. But yes, this cup is ridiculously small on you to boot, so that has got to be really uncomfortable.

Thanks so much, I've ordered the Juno again in a 32F and 34F so that I have apples to apples to compare!

Just a heads up, the 34f will be a larger cup volume than the 32f. It is the same cup volume as a 32ff. If you just want to check the band comfort and not change the cup volume, get a 34e. As you go up in band one size, go down in cup one size to keep he same cup volume. (Go in a diagonal on a size chart) some brands make it even more fun by using wider wires as your band goes up. :(

hmm I see thanks Boobicca. I'll post both bras on to hopefully help show others the difference!

if that is confusing, this site has a chart that has lair out the sister sizes in straight lines:

helpfulTo me, the cups look too small, more than one size. I'd say you could try 32E. With bigger cups, the band should feel looser. Too small cups make the whole circumference feel tighter. Though you may want 34 anyway if you prefer looser fit.

helpfulThis might give you some help. Good luck! Also you can use a band extender those help a lot when a band feels uncomfortably tight.

helpfulHi Everyone, I'm closing this down and posting a new bra - the 32F Cleo, which cups are way too big. Thanks for all the help but I've decided Cleo (through the mail anyways) is not the bra for me. Next time I'm in a big city I will just start trying on the RIGHT SIZE and start from there - Happy Holidays all!

Yes you're correct the wires are not where they're supposed to be. I wasn't happy with the profile under clothing either, wondering what the Cleo Lucy might look like, any thoughts? I have always had molded cup type bras since I wear almost exlusively tshirts.
