Bra fitting help » Little Bra Company - wires too narrow?

Issue resolved
Will return and buy bigger size.
Original problem
So, I don't think this bra fits? I'm getting a lot of overspill at the sides, although it seems to fit pretty well along the top of the cups, and the band feels about right. I don't know if the overspill is due to the wires being too short at the sides? I am well-practised at swoop&scoop, and did this fully before taking pics.
My worry is though, if I get the next cup size up, it'll gape along the top of the cups. My boobs have a wide root and are fuller at the bottom but quite empty on the top.
This is my first purchase from The Little Bra Company. I chose this model because TLBC describe it as being for wide-set boobs.
Should I abandon all hope with this style (and also with TLBC?), or choose maybe a 28B? Or choose another model described as being for wide-set boobs, but with a taller wire at the sides?
I also bought another TLBC bra (Lucia) in 28B, which is an even worse (tighter) fit. I'll post a similar question if I need to, once I've had some advice on this one.
Thanks.

helpfulThe cups are waay too small here. Not only is there a lot of spill on the sides, but there is some in the front aswell (quadboob). It can be hard to see on smaller bust, but you can see the cups press in at photo 3. Your gore is also not sitting flat, which is another huge indicator the bra cups are too small. The cup depth of the bra is also much too small for your breast. I would actually recommend you try 28C if you are getting the same results in 28B, but I'm not very familiar with TLBC. The wires will get wider when you size up in the cups.
Your horizontal perimeter also indicates that you could possibly try wide and shallow 28D's. I would recommend Curvy Kate plunges in that case.Updated on February 1, 2014 Flag this

helpfulIn contrast to what Noob suggests I personally haven't found Curvy Kate particular wide and shallow in the smaller sizes. But I agree with everything else: this bra is way too small for you! Your breast perimeter is only one cm less than mine used to be (I'm pregnant now so my breasts are all over the place), and I used to be closer to a large 30D or small 30DD. As your ribcage measures slightly smaller than mine, size-wise I would suggest you try a large 28C or small 28D. You could have a look at this list here, specifically composed for us ladies with wide and shallow breasts: http://www.bratabase.com/profile/65y/adventures/2346/. The Cleo Juna (6461) generally is a good place to start. Have a look at the pictures uploaded under 28D and 28DD: although it may sound ludicrous to you at this point, something like that may be just what you need

Wow, thanks so much for the suggestions! I'll now spend as much time as needed to research every option in detail.
Actually, I've just started looking at the Cleo Juna page, and I see that it's supposed to be a similar fit to Mimi Holliday 28D. I know for a fact that that will be too big, as I actually own several Mimi Holliday 28Bs, which (I think) fit really great, as well as a Mimi 28C which is too big. I've just uploaded pics of my favourite Mimi 28B (http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dlagp/), and my ill-fitting 28C (http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dl34g/). Hopefully the pics will get approved shortly so you can see what I mean (and maybe comment on the fit, please?).
On a related subject, I've just returned a Mimi Bisous Bisous 28B, as they've made their sizes bigger (see my post here: http://www.bratabase.com/profile/9ni/adventures/3006/)I think perhaps TLBC's sizing is a bit "unusual". I don't know if it's worth me ordering this one in a 28C when I return the 28A - the postage costs will soon start to mount up from US to here in UK if I have to return and re-order a few times, and I'm really worried about gaping at the top of the cup, as I've suffered from that in almost every bra I've ever put on. :-(

@MilkAndHoney- I was really referring to Curvy Kate Tempt me, Elegance, Desire and maybe the new Roxie. Most of them run a little small aswell, but from my experience they are very shallow. I do agree with you that Juna is a good place to start.
raine- Here are some reviews of TLBC bras, where the person talks about how they run in comparison to each other: http://www.frmheadtotoe.com/2010/10/tlbc-bra-review-coupon-code.html
It looks Yvonne runs a cup larger, so it may actually be worth trying this particular bra again in a 28C. -
Thanks Noob. Wow, TLBC sizes are ALL OVER THE PLACE!! That From Head To Toe review is a real eye-opener. She reviewed five TLBC bras, and, from how she describes it, she would need four different sizes!
How on earth is anyone supposed to choose which size to order? Not only do we have to figure out how their sizes compare to other brands, but they freely admit their own sizes are all completely different from each other! Up-size in this one, down-size in that one, this one is more "roomy" than that one, this one has a longer band, crazy!

helpfulI agree that that bra is 2 cup sizes too small. Sometimes you can wear different sizes in different bras and brands. I would like to see you in a Mimi Holliday size 28 D. You looked a little more projected than completely shallow. Comparing to a lot of pictures I've seen on of people who are shallow. You look like a C or D cup to me. Just look at the measurements of bras on here if you get a bra that has more depth there won't be any cutting into your breast tissue. That bra looks painful! Good luck. Bra fitting can be very complex. 28 D bras usually have a cup depth of 7 from what I can remember. you can measure your cup depth bending over and standing up and see if there's a difference in those measurements. Mine is 8 standing up and 8.5-9 bending over depending on the time of month. I find the best fitting bras for me usually have a depth of 7.9-9 inches depending on the bra brand and whether the cups are deeper like Cleo Bella or shallow like CK desire. Hope this helps you. Early on in my learning of bras 1 rule I remember never wear a bra that is too small in the cups. It's not good for your.breasts.

helpfulThe wires on this bra are definitely too narrow & the cups are definitely at least 2 sizes off..

helpfulMy pics for my existing Mimi Hollidays have now been approved:
My favourite 28B: http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dlagp/
And my battered old 28C, which I've now decided is too big: http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dl34g/
Based on this, do you think the red 28B fits, and the black 28C is too big?
Can someone please just clarify something for me - do sister sizes usually (always?) have different size wires? So a Mimi 30A would have shallower cups but a slightly wider wire? Is that correct?
Thanks again for the continued advice.

I agree with sizing up and trying at least the C. For the A cup to be correct, your full bust would need to be just an inch larger around than your under bust. You look to me to be bustier than that.
I realize you're probably laughing at even the idea of a C, but also take a look at the photos and the fit 28D fit of the Cleo Lucy. That's a wide set bra that doesn't run particularly full in the top of the cup (some women size up in it).
Best of luck!
