Issue resolved
Not much I can do about the pinching near the armpits, but the support isn't compromised, so I'll keep it.
Original problem
There's quite a bit of cutting in near the armpit. On the bright side, there's virtually no bounce when I run! I've added an extender to see if that will alleviate the squishing under my arms, but at ths rate, I think I'd need to go up to a 32 band to eliminate most of the cutting in. But with the extender, there's less stability (noticeably more bounce). I've worn 32 band sports bras from under armour and they ride up and allow lots of bounce and boob escaping out the bottom.
The cups are very compressing, as they are supposed to be. When I try to stick a hand in there to see if it can take any more volume, more of my boobs come out the side lol
For reference, I measure 25.5 inches exhaled and 28 fully inhaled. This bra stretches just to 28. Bust measures 38.5 in an unpadded bra.
Just wondering if this cutting in is supposed to happen and if anyone has any ideas what size to try next? For the time being, it's doing its job and enabling me to enjoy high impact workouts so I'll keep it.

helpfulYou're not really supposed to wear compression bras for more than 8 hours. Is your workout comfortable? If so, I'd keep it, but I would only wear it for a workout.

helpfulIf you measure 28" fully inhaled and this bra band measures 28" fully stretched AND the band itself doesn't cause discomfort then the band isn't really the issue here. I'm more inclined to think there simply may not be enough room in the 'cups' ... but I have to say I'm not a sports bra expert by any stretch of the imagination.
Does loosening the straps somewhat have any effect?
For what it's worth, SOME creasing near the armpits isn't unnatural at all when wearing something tight fitting there. It's simply skin slipping out from underneath the garment when moving the arms and shoulders, but being prevented by the tightness of the edge from slipping back in place. However, if you feel it's more than 'just' skin that is bulging out and you're uncomfortable with it then you might want to consider trying a cup size up? I'm not sure this particular bra comes in a 28G, though ... ?

helpfulIn my experience with that bra, it simply seems to be designed not as close to the armpits, so that the boobs try to escape there because of the tight compression nature of the bra. I decided it was okay for a workout bra, but ultimately not the best (and certainly not the most comfortable) so I sought other options.
Basically, I don't think it's the bra band, but the bra style. As you already know, sizing up in the band will just lose support, not help the armpits.

If you like compression bras, try Lynx :) I have it and it feels really awesome. The cool thing about that bra is that it does NOT feel tight around the ribcage, yet it supports you fully! It has a patented design, the support doesn't come from the straps nor the band, it comes from the side of the "cups". I suggest you use Lynx's size guide (I'm one to usually ditch size guides because they usually suck), it was spot on for me!
I've looked at encapsulation-type sports bras, but I'm close set and either one or both wires end up sitting on my breast tissue. I do agree with you that the cut on this particular bra is a bit strange. I don't think I'd want a larger cup either as that could affect the stability.
That being said, this bra gives me a feeling almost akin to taping my boobs to my chest, which is awesome for the gym, so I'll just pair it up with a nice loose workout top :)
