Original problem
This seems like a pretty good fit to me, as good as it gets so far! However, there is a bit of wrinkling at the bottom of the cup and the outside edge near the wire (wires too wide?). It's just been so long wearing the wrong size that I worry I can't even recognize the right fit at this point. I am super excited about the low gore combined with close-set wires, as that is always a problem area for me. Is it a good enough fit to keep while I continue hunting? And what causes the wrinkling? Do I need more projection? A different size? I like the shape it gives alright, but wouldn't mind a bit more lift.
Ps. the angle shot with wrinkling at the top of the cup is on my smaller breast.
Thanks!

helpfulToo big by 1 or 2 cups. The wires go too far back (Chantelle wires are actually very narrow), plus the cup in the armpit and the wrinkling and the lack of lift. Try it 1 and 2 cup sizes down. You may find you then need to go up in the band, or not. It is possible it will be too shallow for you in those sizes, but you can't know until you try. Chantelle is kind of a mystery to me because I loved it when I was in the wrong size but now I can't get any size to fit me properly.
This bra would bother me because it would chafe me in the armpit. However if that doesn't happen to you, then yeah, keep it until you find something better.
I'd try Fantasie, Freya, Panache.

helpfulIt looks too tall for a plunge, but if it's comfortable I'd keep it. Maybe try a 75G and see how that compares if you can.

I thought the same thing about the height. I'm trying to find a reasonable fit, style, size before I order overseas because of shipping costs and returns...
Can anyone give me an idea of how to translate my measurements into the Bra measurements?? So I can use them better to find a bra that will work for me. Is there a function of the site I'm missing that would help? Or do I just have to keep ordering and sending back?

Try http://www.sizemapp.com/ :)

Based on your fit and measurements of this bra, I'd suggest an 80F in EM.

In which case maybe 75FF in anything except their PLs in which case I'd go with 75G. I have a CHP Brzoskwinka in 75FF that I'd be willing to sell for very cheap (think 10 USD plus shipping).

helpfulI actually own this bra (70H, so we are not far off in our size and proportions) and I have to say it is actually not the most useful reference point for you to figure out your size, because the cup is uncharacteristically shallow and above all the wires are WIDE for a Chantelle. I know Chantelle wires are usually narrow, trust me, I have been wearing Chantelle since I was a teenager in France 20 years ago, and the historic narrowness of the cups is a main reason I've always liked them, but this particular bra is seriously either an outlier, or else a sign that they are radically changing their shape. (I hope not as this would mean they'd lose me as a customer... I'm hoping this is just a one off.)
Comfort-wise, I don't know how you feel in yours, but if it is not perfectly comfy I would send it back. I'm still on the fence about my C Chic plunge 6 weeks after I got it. It's certainly very supportive, the band does not budge, and it's not too tall for me, but the wide wire means the band feels way tight (even though I'm on the small end of 70/85/32 and wear 30 bands in UK bras) even on the loosest hook. Looks wise I feel it's a disappointment as the shallow, wide cup does not give me the best shape under clothing, and that seam going across the breast IS visible when I wear a lightweight top despite the cup being basically too wide for me!
If I were you, since you are still in the process of figuring out size, I'd try a different Chantelle in both 75G and 75H with a traditional full cup or 3/4 cup model (not plunge, not contour) and see how that goes.

wendybien could you give me an example of a traditional full cup or 3/4 cup model? Is a demi 3/4 cup or 1/2 cup?
Thanks! -
Sorry, I just realized that I'm an old biddy and the term 3/4 cup has sort of fallen out of favor... I don't think you'll find anything actually labeled that way although of course they are still made. A 3/4 cup is a cut and sew, seamed cup that's more open on top than a full cup, but not as revealing as a demi cup (demi = semi = half, so a 3/4 has more coverage than that). Most of the so-called balconnet styles that are sold by the UK brands could also be considered 3/4 cups; they aren't as low cut as true demi cups.
A traditional full cup in Chantelle, for example, would be their Amazone model which is available up to a G. That one has been around forever and is a very comfortable shape. I am 99% sure I wore the same design 20 years ago albeit perhaps with a different lace!

[continued] Currently available Chantelle models with full or full-ish cups in 34G and H include the Pont Neuf, Cachemire and Rive Gauche.
I wouldn't try a demi cup (as cute and sexy as they are) in Chantelle to assess size, as I find they aren't quite as consistent in their dimensions compared to the more covered-up models.

I agree that it's too tall, especially in the armpit area, and I imagine that it's not comfortable. However, I think that sizing down will cause a quadboob because the bra won't have enough projection. I think you should try a half cup, or something from ewa michalak because their cups tend to have less coverage, and more projection and narrower wires- which would help the wrinkling. (beware that the sizing it not the same).
