Issue resolved
Selling the bra.
Original problem
Hi everyone,
I'm currently trying to figure out where to go now, since I'm having plenty of issues with my Sienna that I just got in the mail. It seems that I either need a larger cup or a completely different style. I'm worried that if I do get a larger cup, that there might be too much projection.
What would you recommend?
Thanks!

helpfulfirstly given that it cuts in on the top of the breast i would say the G cup is too small try going a cup size up or choose a bra style that has more fabric in the cup. Secondly the bra looks tight and in the photo's you can see red line where it has been sitting thus i would suggest trying the 32. As for the centre gorse not sitting flat this could also be due to the cup size being too small, however it may also help to find a bra with a smaller center gorse giver your breasts being close together

helpfulCan you put an extender on it and take a photo? That cup is being pulled awfully far back into your armpit. I think that if it wasn't, you might find you had plenty of room in the cup (or even too much).

helpfulIt looks either too closed on top for you that you're wearing you're wearing your bra too low. It could also be that the wires are too tall on the sides for your high on chest breasts. I would look at bras with narrower center gores and shorter wires, but that are open on top. Maybe unpadded Curvy Kate bras?

Hi Jillsas,
I've seen your regular comments on the fitting help before before, so I did remember to check and make sure that I lifted the wires up so that they fit right up against the crease. I used to have shallow, wide root, close set small breasts, but the volume has been increasing over the last few years (likely due to BC). So, now it seems I have generally "average" sized breasts with similar fit issues to before (being relatively shallow, wide root & close set).
I've tried some unpadded Curvy Kate bras, without much success (mostly the amount of arm hole coverage is always too much and makes it uncomfortable). I also feel like they're placed a little bit wide for me (but this may be because I need to size up in many styles because I'm full-on-top), and I'd rather have them more front and center because it feels more natural.
Please let me know if this helps, or if I've gotten confused somewhere. All advice for things to try are welcome.

That's okay. Curvy Kate is definitely wide in the straps. Unfortunately, going up in cup size will make that worse. Maybe Freya's padded half cups would work well? Or the Marvel?

I've been directed toward Freya's half cup's before, and in general the shape is great, but the cups are just small enough that a 30G gives me quad boob even on the low end of my cycle (and most stop at G). Do you think it'd be worthwhile to get a larger band size (ie. 32G) and then modify the band?
-
The Patsy goes up to an H cup so you can look into a 30GG. Also the Marvel is supposed to be really fantastic.

I don't know why you'd worry about projection but for narrower wires, closer gores, and a deeper cup look at Fantasie*, but look at the style first as some have wider gores. Look for side support. I find the straps a tiny bit too wide but better than many brands.
Your idea of buying a larger and and taking it in is good too. There are some tutorials out there, but basically just sew a seam up the gore--it will tip the cups out a little but that should work in your favor.
Fantasie apparently run a little generous in the band. I measure a snug but not too tight 32 underbust and wear a 32.

helpfulI would try a parfait Charlotte it won't break the bank and since ur shallow and tall and this bra has open cups it shouldn't cut in I think it will probably also give u nice cleavage. I own three of these bras so I like them but I feel that they would work better for someone with ur breast shape. I would try a 30ff or 30g as the bands run nice and tight and just double check the bras measurements on here to see which size the ff or g will fit better. I'm fitting mostly into gg but I have a ff that I wear for the nice cleavage it gives me xD

Hi sara5124,
Actually, I had just put on this bra for pics and had changed out of a different one, which is what the red lines are from. From what I've heard red lines aren't actually a sign of the band being too tight, as long as the lines go away within an hour.. (has anyone else heard about this?)
Part of the reason why I like the band being tighter is because my breast tissue is very dense and heavy (though they don't look large because they're spread across my chest; up/down & left/right). I've found that something between 30 & 31 has the best compromise, but I don't mind having it a little on the tighter side prior to the initial settling after washing & wearing.
Do you have any particular bras that you'd recommend for a smaller center gore? I think some combination of smaller center gore, shorter center gore, and/or more room than average in the inner parts of the cups would be great.
Sorry about the long response..
