Issue resolved
I got lots of helpful advice - particularly to try an underwire Elomi - which I did - and I just love my new bra. Thanks.
Original problem
Like this bra but I've lost weight and it's getting a little big and I need some new bras

helpfulI would look at 40D as a size maybe. Some brands that make that include all of the Eveden companies (which between the lot, make quite a lot of styles, these include Freya, Fantasie, Fauve, Elomi, and Goddess), Panache and Sculptresse, Wacoal, Anita and Royce (they make wireless bras, in case you prefer that), Chantelle, Charnos, Gossard, and Pour Moi?. There's other options, since there are quite a lot of them, but listing them would take ages. Is there any look you're going for (girly, regal, lace, padded, a specific color)?
No style is universally flattering though. It's hard to tell based on these pictures because the quality isn't great, and your too big bra covers too much to tell what shapes might be good. Do you know what your breast shape might be (full on top, full on bottom, wide root, narrow root, shallow, projected, soft, firm, tall root, short root, wide set, close set, are all good descriptors)?

And I'm quite open minded about styling of bras - just want good ones that fit well, are strong enough to give lift (which I need)and fit me.

It would be helpful for you if you tried to fill out the shapes part of the profile (comes after measurements) so that we can understand what might work best for your breasts.
Unfortunately bras aren't so simple and it takes some of us quite awhile to figure out what does and doesn't work for us.

With that by itself, it sounds like you have soft tissue. With the other two descriptors it sounds like Elomi and Goddess (the Caitlyn and Keira respectively) would be good matches, though I don't know how they behave in your size range. Fantasie might also be worth a shot (with their four part balconettes).

helpfulI highly suggest elomi as a brand. They are similar to Goddess but more attractive with a larger variety of styles. I suggest the elomi Caitlyn. It's a full cup bra that is a lot of bra, but has a lot of support and tends to work on a variety of shapes. It's a good staple to have and what I started with. You might try something anywhere from a 40D to 40F in elomi. It's likely you'll have to purchase several sizes and try them to figure out what your best fit is in a brand. If you're interested in elomi, here's their latest collection: http://www.elomilingerie.com/lingerie/latest-collections.aspx
There's not a lot of info on Bratabase for elomi bras in that size range so I can't recommend a specific size. I also have gotten some good use out of size calculators to recommend sizes for me to try, like http://www.sizemapp.com/en/ and http://www.butterflycollection.ca/bra-size-calculator/

Before I discovered my "correct" bra size I wore soft cup Goddess bras as well. Let me tell you a properly fitting under wire bra will make all the difference in the world to shape and lift. It appears that you have a bit of a "high tummie" like I do so I suggest that try some un banded Elomi styles such as the Eva or Izzy. They have a medium height gore and might work for you.

I also love the elomi bandless styles. They aren't super ultra supportive or lifting but they do well enough and are very comfy to boot.

helpfulAs long as you aren't super full on top, I love the Elomi Betty Plunge Bra (8170) . I think it's very cute, and I also find it very comfortable, but I am very very full on top and it cuts in I wish so so much that it fit me.
At least in this bra, you look like you have wide breasts, so Elomi is a good place to start.
I wore only wireless bras for many years, but nothing compares to an underwire bra when it comes to lift.

Thanks so so much for all the help - I bought an Elomi 42D and it's wonderful - I've also ordered some other brands online that I'll add as they arrive!

That's awesome to hear! Don't be shy about submitting another fit request if you aren't sure about anything!

Thanks for your helpful suggestions. I'm not sure how to describe my breasts - I've had several children and breast fed and I guess they are widish set and bottom heavy lol
