Bra fitting help » not getting lift in the boobs

Issue resolved
Now I know wireless bra in this model is not good for support.
Original problem
Their is no much issue but it still looks incomplete. It does not show any charm or hotness that I am looking for. Its just too simple. I am confused if it really working or not. I feel I need more lift in my boobs through bras but I am not finding it.

helpfulI have heard from my Polish friend that Triumph bras are a terrible fit with terrible quality, the equivalent of Victora's Secret's bras. I have no idea, but just thought I'd mention it.
The kind of fit and lift you're getting with this bra looks like a wireless bra or a sports bra. Is this that type of bra? I can't tell for sure, but if it is a non-underwired bra, then you won't be able to get much more lift and separation than this and I would suggest to try a different brand in an underwired bra.
If this is an underwired bra, then it just looks like a poor shape on you...this bra seems to minimize and smush down. I can't see this bra looking any better on anyone else =/

It's pretty common it seems for mostly every woman to associate underwired bras with pain, but I believe this is due to the fact that mostly every woman is wearing the incorrect size. When you are wearing the incorrect size, the underwire sits in the wrong place, can poke you in the underarm, can dig into your ribs, etc. But when you have a properly fitted underwire bra, it can feel very supportive and comfortable. You won't want to go back to wireless bras except for sleep most likely.
All my life, I used to think underwire bras were torture. And then I started finding out about bigger sizes. While I was trying to find out the right size, I wore nothing but wireless bras and they were very comfortable but like you, I could not get the look I was looking for.
Finally, recently I started to figure out my band size, and then my cup size and started wearing underwire bras everyday, yes. I have a few different bras so that they do not wear in the same spots everyday, but yes I am pretty comfortable even wearing a 34K because it is supporting me like it is supposed to without digging in. I can only a feel slight pressure on ribs that I don't notice.
So, I am thinking that perhaps you haven't found your right size yet. Looking at your measurements, are you absolutely sure your horizontal perimeter is correct? It is probably the most important measurement in helping to tell your bra size. I also always recommend bra calculators as a starting point to figuring out your bra size.
http://www.butterflycollection.ca/bra-size-calculator/ is a traditional one and http://www.sizemapp.com/en/ is a even more accurate one, but takes a little more time. It is similar to Bratabase's measurements.
Of course, we can help you figure it out here, but we need to make sure your measurements are accurate, especially because it is hard to tell in a non-underwired bra as they allow a little more leeway in being the wrong size. To me, it looks like your band is good at least, maybe even a little to low, but it depends on if it rides up or not.
-
xelestial, yes I am pretty sure I have done right measurement. You think there is something wrong in it? I have also checked standard bra sizes from the link you posted and it shows 36E or 38DD. Looking at your size 34K, you are a large busted lady yet you manage to find perfect fitting bras for yourself. I envy that. I really to get fitted perfectly this time.

Well, it was only through a lot of trial and error, reading blogs, and help from everyone here that I've gotten this far. That's why I want to try my best to help every woman because I think we all deserve to feel comfortable and look good.
So here you have a 38C, which would mean that you have been wearing cups that are two to three sizes too small. The good news is, there are a lot of bras in your size range, far more than in mine, so you have so many choices if you want to try an underwired bra. First, you should try to figure out if you want to go down in the band size or not. Do you find that this band rides up? Would you prefer a little tighter or do you think you you are comfortable with your band?
Also, the horizontal perimeter seems a bit big to me. Mine is 16.9 in and yours is listed 15.0 inches, but all of your other breast measurements seem more accurate to the cup size I'd expect, or around 10-11 inches. I don't have a whole lot of experience in your size range or in using those measurements, so I could be wrong. So for now, I'd just like to use the calculator to get you a get starting size.
-
I got it, what you mean, yes it is logical, you being K size your measurement is 16 inches and I being D or DD it has to be 3-4 inches less. I'll check it. I have no issues going down band size as long as it doesn't hurt.
Major problem I am facing is finding the brand in this region. Unfortunately there are few international brands available here and getting imported is too expansive. I must thank for helping out. Would like to know more about you. You are a pro. -
No problem :) And I'm not really a pro, just someone who has spent too much time with this stuff. There are plenty more on this site who know more than me :)
Because I am such a large cup size, I've had to try a lot of bras in the past few years, starting all the way from your size through almost every letter. I've been fortunate to be able to read a lot about others' experience through their blogs and here on Bratabase and I've spent a lot of hours trying to learn everything. Now I want to learn how to help others better, too.
I see you are in India? Are you able to order bras online? What brands are available in your region?
-
Yes, I can order online, in fact now most of the bras I wear are purchased online. There are few international brands available like panache, curvy Kate, mariemilie, wonderbra and few more but what I have studied for myself is the bras available in my size is available in Eva michalek, freya, and few others but these are not available in this region yet.
I think you are an inspiration for me. Would love to know about you more. Xxx -
I don't know what else there is to say about me ^^ There's not much to me that isn't on my profile. I have a blog too, but I'm not sure how useful it would be to you as it focuses on the larger cups. I'm just doing what any other Bratabase user with the knowledge would do :) That is what we're here for, to help each other. I just want to give back because I've been helped so much.
You have so many brands available to you in your size, so it's hard to suggest a bra for you to try. But I feel like Panache or Freya is a simple and easy one to start with. This post here, might help you if it isn't too confusing because it has a lot of information: http://brasihate.blogspot.com/2013/10/full-bust-greatest-hits-bras-i-hate.html
But if you really are full on bottom, then the Cleo Meg Balconnet (6751) she lists seems to be a good place to start as any, perhaps you could try it in a 36E since you haven't tried that band before. If it is too tight, you could back to a 38 band. Or if you want, maybe the Freya Deco (4234)
If you're interested in learning more about bras in general, here is a useful feature if you want to find blogs in your size range and maybe even your country: http://www.bratabase.com/bloggers/list/ Just select your size or browse however you like to find more blogs. The one I linked you is a good and renowned one and links to others she suggests. Particularly if you start here under her posts tagged with "Starting Points" http://brasihate.blogspot.com/search/label/Starting%20Points and "Bra Design" http://brasihate.blogspot.com/search/label/Bra%20Design (just scroll down until you find some interesting and useful posts).

Thank you so much. You are awesome xxxx.

I would love to read your blog, so what if it is not about my size at least I'll gain some knowledge. I have few more bras that i just purchased a few days back. I would want you to review them as your comments are helping me. Those are under wired from @mariemalie. By the way where are you from?
-
My blog is very new, so it doesn't really have much of anything yet, but I DID just update the resources page with everything I have read, I hope you will find it useful: http://xelestialcurves.tumblr.com/bustresources
When you get your new bras, please put up some fitting requests so we can evaluate the fit. You can tag me in them if you wish by mentioning me with putting @ and typing Xe and then clicking on my username.
I'm from the U.S. :)

I am getting fan of you. I just read your blog, my god you are just 25 (are you really) and have so lot of experience. You have learnt so much! You know its not that this is first time I am learning about bra fitting, yes even I have gone through lot of literatures. I now understand that the science of breast and bras are not that easy as we think. It was just that I didn't find anyone with whom I can really discuss. If you continue to respond, I shall get more confidence to discuss with you. I had done my own study on my boobs for which I had taken some pics but it was brought down by bratabase due to nudity.i wish I could show you those pics.
Bye the way, are you working for bratabase? -
No I don't work for Bratabase. Thanks for your kind comments though. Bratabase doesn't allow anything but bra pictures at this time besides in their breast shapes project. If you need help trying to determine things about your breasts, try out that link on the page I linked from my blog to the Herroom Shape quiz.
The bra community works off of people learning and then sharing and trying to help others. Anyone here would try to help you if they know how and really I just know the basics. I just happened to respond to you first, but anyone would help or discuss things with you :) If you ever just want to talk about something with the community, just create a Bra Adventure.
There can be bad advice here of course but mostly everyone who responds is generally very knowledgeable from reading and their own experiences. But at this point I've given all the information I can.
-
That was kinda official reply. I think I am little poking you too much. I felt your reply little genuine and touchy. I know there will be lot of people out there to reply its just that you were the first one and "impressive" too.
yes I checked on herroom too. -
Sorry, don't mean to come off as touchy. I'm kind of sleep deprived (baby kept me up) though I truly did mean everything I said. I would't say it otherwise. Anyway, I do appreciate the comments. It makes me want to continue to help other women. It's sometimes scary to try to give suggestions because I am not very experienced in it, but it's also very rewarding when I can help people.
-
It doesn't matter how much experienced you are as long as you are right in whatever you advice. Honestly, I am little touched my your kind nature. I don't know you personally, but you know there's some virtual kinda connection. You are too sweet.
How "LITTLE" are your babies? There's one little funny I wanna ask if you allow?? -
Thank you :) The baby that kept me up is 9 months old. You can ask whatever, I'll answer as best as I feel I can.
-
I know I am bothering you little too much😖😖 but I just getting fond of you.
I am amazed by your instant relies, are you in your office?
How old is your other kid? I hope I m not getting too personal!!! -
Sometimes I'm on my phone.
My other child is 4, I don't mind in fact I thought I had said that somewhere on my blog.
But well I do appreciate your respect for me, and I don't want to be unkind but Bratabase is a place to focus on bras and fit issues so I think we should try to keep it to that or the site as a whole wouldn't work as well.
I am also a somewhat private, quiet person to the point that I choose to have only a few close friends partially because I don't have the time or energy to keep up with too many people as I want to focus it on other things that are more meaningful to me, like helping others or other hobbies. And I don't even keep up with those friends at this time. It's not easy being introverted because I also like to help and I try my best to be as kind as possible to others, but that's who I am and how I feel most comfortable.
With that said, I am glad to have helped you and appreciate your kind comments but I will have to end this particular conversation now to focus on other things, so this will probably be my last response to this. If you need anymore fitting help in the future of course don't hesitate to ask me or anyone else here. I really hope you don't take it in a personal way or anything :(
-
Bye, nice to have words with you. Enjoy and take care of yourself and kids.@Xelestial

helpfulIt looks to me like a few different issues are at work here.
One, the bra is not a good fit. It looks as though the band is too big, and I don't know really if the cups are too big, too small, or just wrong-shaped. From some angles they look too big, from others too small.
Two, you are just not going to get the same kind of lift with a wireless bra as you will with an underwire at least not without the wireless bra having a LOT of structure. This is not a lifting kind of bra. If you want major lift, you will need an underwire bra. This looks to me like a great sleep/lounge bra.
Triumph actually does make some very lovely bras, but this one is not ever going to do what you want.

Yes, this is non wired bra.@xelestial do you recommend wearing underwired bras? I have always been hesitant wearing underwired bras because I feel they are not comfortable. I feel underwired bras hurt, how true is it? Do you always wear underwired??
