Bra fitting help » Similar bra but with much lighter non-foam padding
Ewa Michalak » S Porcelanka (369) » 75JJ 34:14
Issue resolved
Bought a 32 JJ that fit perfectly
Original problem
There is a slight wrinkling of top of cup when I hunch my shoulder forward. The bra is quite comfortable but with prefer a bra with lighter non- foam padding- just enough to hide my nipples. Any suggestions?

helpfulI say you could probably go down a cup size or two if the wrinkling bothers you. If you like narrow wire brands, Comexim is similar but with thinner padding in my opinion.

helpfulI'm not sure what the padding is like on this one, but Kris Line has removable pads. Without them, their semi soft bras are basically just very well-lined bras. They also have narrower wires which would probably be a good thing for you. In this bra it looks like you've wound up with a lot of excess wire width and cup height just in order to get enough depth. A brand that offers narrower wires would give you a more optimal fit!

In my experience Kris Line does run narrower in the wires in the larger cup sizes. Cannot say anything concerning the smaller ones, but what I can say is that that chart is not to be trusted. Within each brand there is multiple different wire widths and brands tend to scale differently as well.

Thanks Nesoa that was also my impression. It should also be noted that charts like those may be based on one relationship between 2 metrics (width of wires at any given bra size point) whereas in real life a person with particular fit challenges may need information that depends on more data points than that, such as width of wires AND bra size points AND cup depths. What I see with Ewa in the larger size cups is that yes in a given bra size X the wires may measure narrow, but to get enough depth many wearers must size up to X+3, and then they are in too-wide wires. If KL or other brands manage to give more depth at a lower cup size while still maintaining roughly the same narrowness of wires that will work better for women with very projected, narrow based breasts.

I currently wear a 60K in Ewa Michalak and a 60K/65JJ in Kris Line and while the cup depths are very close, the wires on the Kris Line bras are narrower than Ewa Michalak, from just a tiny bit to a fair bit depending on model. This is however just in my size, which is far from an F-cup, but my guess is that it most likely applies for the rest of the larger cup sizes.
(At the same time a 28HH/J Cleo unpadded balconette has the same width and depth as well, despite being several cup sizes smaller. Which means that while an Ewa Michalak bra in 28HH has narrower wires than a 28HH Cleo, in actual proportions the Cleo would win or tie with Ewa Michalak)

Ewa is listed as narrower on this list. Also agree that the bra comes up a little higher than was intended. :)
