Issue resolved
First venture out of Walmart 32A's. But I still need a wider, shallower cup. The search begins!
Original problem
I think I have more than a cup size difference in breasts, one has more fullness on top, the other is very shallow, but the tissue goes all the way up to my collarbone. So I get quad-boob on the shallow side and gaping with a space in the cup(the lace helps disguise that)and the cup isn't big enough on the larger side so the bra shifts over to that side of my torso. Also, I have to keep it on the tightest hook to keep it riding up my smaller breast but that gives me a roll. I don't know if I need a larger, shallower cup that is more horizontal? Any suggestions?

helpfulReiterating what I said on your other fitting thread... I think you just need to size up in the cup. This is too small for you! The reason these bras are moving around on you and occasionally gaping is that the wires are sitting on top of breast tissue instead of being firmly against your torso, encapsulating but not sitting on your boobs--breast tissue is wiggly so the bra cups don't stay put.

helpfulSorry I don't have any suggestions for asymmetry other than using an insert on the smaller side... But I would suggest for you to try bras in 28D. To get less gapping on your shallow side, try low-cut bras, like half cups, so there isn't any cup near the straps to gap.
Perhaps try the Cleo Maddie in 28D? (tbh I think you might even need 28DD for the Maddie since it runs small in the cups)
Or the Freya Deco Half Cup in 28D might work too.Updated on May 4, 2014 Flag this

helpfulI also have shallow breasted with one being more volumptuous than the other. I usually split the difference in sizing, which works pretty well for me. No bra company is alike in shape and size, so its a lot of trial and error. I actually think I have a bra that might fit you. Its listed. A 30d Cleo jude. Take a look at the measurements and if you agree send me a pm with your address and I'll give it to you.

Thanks! I checked the measurements and I THINK it might be too deep? I just recently ordered a Fiore Lepel plunge, Betsey Johnson Eyelet demi, and Natori feathers counter plunge in 30d and 30c. We'll see which ones fit!

helpfulCups are too small and look all wrong from the side view. You have gaping because the strap is lying on your muscle (it gapes when you move your arms).
I would recommend you Tutti Rouge bras in 28 DD-E. I tried it recently and it was the best bra for shallow breasts. There are a lot of useful pictures of it here. And I would not recommend Freya, their cups are too narrow.Updated on May 10, 2014 Flag this

Aha. The bra strap? So they are too wide-set?
-
Just the opposite! Your breast muscle should be inside the cup. On your photos 1/2 of it is outside becausethe bra is small and flattering! When it will be in the cup, you will have nice cleavage and breasts will look much bigger.
Some people don't have much muscle that can pull the bra away from the body, but you do. You will always have some gaping while moving your arms. -
VERY interesting. So perhaps I need to look for a wider-set strap in addition to a wider cup?
-
That may be why I have such a difficult time with a halter-style swimsuit...
-
Yep. Bigger sizes usually have both wider-set strap and wider and higher cup so don't be shy to try Ds and DDs and Es. And set your eyes on Tutty Rouge Liliana :)

Thank you! I will add those to my list. I just recently ordered a Fiore Lepel plunge, Betsey Johnson Eyelet demi, and Natori feathers counter plunge in 30d and 30c. We'll see which ones fit!
