Original problem
I have been wearing a 32A for years and about 2 months ago found out it was not a good fit so now I'm searching for one that is. I believe I have shallow breasts so that makes it harder to find a good fitting bra, not only that but I'm not completely sure what size I am. I have tried 30D and the band was big so I've decided to try the Juna bra since I've heard good things.I posted photos wearing the bra without scooping and swooping and it's obvious that something's not right. I have tissue out and the tissue in the back underarm area is noticeable under clothes.I had some gaping and the cups weren't filled in. I also scooped and swooped and it looks better. The gap I had in the cups is no longer there and I fill the cups. I still have the tissue on the back underarm area. I heard that if the lace on the top is flat on your chest then that means the cups are small but idk how much of that is true. I feel like I might need a bigger cup size? Maybe not, I'm not quite sure. I feel like if I were to get a bigger size then the center would be too high up and uncomfortable. The way it fits now it doesn't feel uncomfortable. With a shirt on I feel like it gives me a weird shape and it seems to have flattened me out as well? So my question to you guys is, is this how it should fit me? Do I need a different size or is this bra style not for me?

helpfulI don't think the size is too far off, but the design of this bra isn't great for you. It's not tall enough for you, it's cut too skimpy under the arm, the apex of the cups looks too low down and not aligned with the real apex of the breast, and I think you're right that it is flattening you somewhat.
You're not unusually shallow in my opinion; you actually look fairly average projection for your size range, which I'd peg as 28DD/E in most bras. In smaller size ranges most people just naturally have less projection, and bra designs usually take this into account to some extent, so I don't know that you need to specially seek out super shallow bras. I would look at other models that are a little taller, still open at the top, and with lower gores. Plunges might be a good fit in that respect. Don't forget to try seamed bras too--padded and contoured ones are often less forgiving of variations in shape!

helpfulHonestly, before trying anything else, I'd try one cup size up, as the Juna looks too small for you. It's one of the bras that fit really weird - unless you're in the right size. Juna also runs small in the cups and loose in the band, so you might need a smaller cup size and/or a larger band in other bras.
The 'armpit fat' is probably just breast tissue that's squished into the armpit because the cups are too small.
Make sure you put on the bra correctly using the 'scoop & swoop' technique and make sure the band is parallel to the ground (looks like you're wearing it a bit too far up in the pictures). http://brasandbodyimage.com/2012/09/05/putting-your-bra-on-properly/Apart from that, I think bras for wide root shallow boobs would work well on you. http://www.bratabase.com/profile/65y/adventures/2346/

helpfulI'd say it's probably best to start with checking your measurements first: a band that stretches to 61.0 cm on a ribcage that measure 68.6 - 71.1 - 74.9 cm is just not going to happen. If those measurements turn out to be correct, however, you simply are in a too tight band, which may very well account for at least part of the flattened out shape and excess "back fluff" you're getting. A too tight band can also cause centre gore discomfort as it pulls the wires back too strongly to be balanced out by the mass and weight of the breasts. In your case it might also be the reason the lace to "lies flat": excess band tension can cause the upper edge of the cups to pull inwards towards the chest.
I second Saskia_C : smaller-chested ladies, especially if they also have with little "padding" on their ribcage, can often get away with a looser band. A band ideally only is as tight as NEEDED, not as tight as POSSIBLE (although admittedly for some people that adds up to the same).
As too that "arnpit fat": it is very likely that it isn't fat or migrated breast tissue at all, but just skin that gets trapped and bunched up due to the tightness of the band.

helpful***UPDATED***Well, you seem to be very thin like I am. You are most likely a 30DD. A problem that very thin girls commonly have is that high gores poke the sternum, and there is no body fat to cushion you. You need a bra with a low gore and wires that are high at the sides and low in the centre.
UPDATED recommendations:
It seems you have narrow roots, close-set breasts, FOT, and tall roots. I would suggest staying away from Cleo and Betsey Johnson all together, and just try the following:
Freya Deco Plunge
Freya Rio
Freya Faye (previously called the Pollyanna Plunge Balcony)
Freya Retro
Freya Frankie
Curvy Kate Tease Me
Curvy Kate Thrill Me

Omg turns out that my measurements of the bra were off and I fixed it. I double checked because of your comment so thanks. :)
So it's ok if I try bras in a 30 band? I have been trying a couple but was afraid that it would be a problem due to m measurements.
Based on my measurements is it possible to figure out how deep of a cup I need because I seem to be having a problem with that.
