Issue resolved
I'll be getting a different bra for FOB and a smaller cup size and bigger band size!
Original problem
So this is my first time trying to find a bra that properly fits me, and I was recommended this one. So I used an online calculator to find what size I was and I got 30FF. So I got the Freya moulded deco bra, and it fits all weird. I scoop and swoop and I can fill it, but then something happens! My boobs disappear! All of a sudden I have major gaping issues the bra is an inch lower from my sternum, and I get these weird wrinkles on the bottom of the cups. If I stand up straight, I'm fine, but if I lean forward or slouch I have the gapping problem. I also have the quadboob problem on the side. The band feels pretty tight, but maybe I'm not used to a properly fit bra? I think I'm going to return it. Any help would be great! Thank you so much!

helpfulIt's too big and also, you're full on bottom so it's not really the best bra to try. Freya is good for full on bottom is it's unpadded. I think you'd do well in some Panache and Cleo, maybe the Cleo Lucy?

It's definitely possible to find that in Bravissimo. I would also look at the Alana. I personally would also try on everything you can because you have that opportunity. I live in the States and there aren't many stores like Bravissimo around.
-
I live in the states too. Such a hassle trying to find a good bra!
-
Ah, here's me thinking that you were lucky enough to be near a bravissimo. I don't see the Lucy on the Website in your size, however the Cleo Millie, the Fifi, the Flaunt, and the Deco Softcup in a size down all have potential to work.
-
I think I'll try to exchange for the Alana and see if that works first. Then I'll work my way through the others. Your help has been wonderful! Thank you so much!

helpfulWould you mind double checking your fully stretched band measurement? If this really only stretches to 30" then it's clearly too tight, meaning you need to size up in the band (32) for starters... and perhaps size down in the cup, so that would put you in a 32E.
However, there's a good chance also that the Deco just isn't a terribly good shape for you, either due to its height or its volume in the upper cup, so I'd try some unpadded Freyas in 32E or F and just see how it looks.

Thank you so much! Would you recommend the Freya Alana? I've heard good things about it.

I'm familiar with the Bravissimo Alana, is that what you had in mind? It works really well for lots of people, but I see it more often on ladies in a higher size range... I can't recall hearing it discussed much in the E/F range. It is supposed to be pretty good for projected but FOB/not too tall breast shapes. If you are in the UK and have the convenience of easy returns I'd certainly endorse trying it--otherwise, if you're in the US for example, you might want to try a department store. Since you are probably going to want 32 bands (with the occasional 30) your size will fortunately be widely available there and you can try on more things without the hassle of online ordering.
-
Unfortunately I'm in the states (in the countryside) and I haven't seen anything above a 32DD, plus all the sizes are not consistent at all. I've tried things on for hours and none of them fit me. I'm currently wearing a 34D and the cup is too small plus not the right shape. Its why I turned to online to try and find a better one.

In that case I would try ordering first from the big retailers such as Amazon, Bare Necessities, etc. You want to be able to return and exchange without penalty and without waiting 3 weeks. When you've figured out size and shape and the cup depth/width, band length, etc. that work for you, you'll be in a better position to take chances with other sites! Again you are in a size range where you have a LOT of options online so take advantage of it :-)

Thank you so much! I'll try it!:)

If you can get to a Nordstrom or Dillard's you should be able to find some things to try on. I think in that range Macys might even carry them. If not, I also highly recommend Amazon. If you can sign up for the free Prime trial you'll get your bras even faster (just don't forget to cancel before it ends)
Also keep in mind, sometimes E cups are labeled as DDD. (I think they do it to mess with us)
-
Yourlovealive don't forget that they will also call the DDD (British E cups) an F (American sizing)! Because it's not hard enough already...

helpfulI'm going to give a completely different answer. The problem is that the straps are too far apart, and you might have narrow shoulders (causing the straps to be too far apart).
When you stand up straight with your shoulders back it looks like it fits pretty well (minus armpit lump). As soon as you move your arm forward, the strap moves inward and the top of the cup moves with it. If the straps were attached more towards the center of the cup, you wouldn't be having this problem. I personally have this problem ALL THE TIME because my shoulders are way smaller than the rest of me.
The only thing to do about it is 1) look for bras where the straps aren't out as far and 2) sometimes you can move the strap in a bit, but you have to be careful about that because in other cases it'll just distort the shape of the cup.
You might want to try the Deco Softcup as the straps are more centrally placed on that one.

The straps kept falling off my shoulders! Is there a way to tell if you have narrow shoulders? If I pulled the straps in it would gap even worse.
-
There's no hard-and-fast rule for figuring out if you have narrow shoulders. In my case, I can just look at my body shape in comparison to other women and see that my shoulders aren't as broad.
For most bras, the straps are angled inwards if they're sitting on my shoulders. If you look at bra ads, the models are always broad-shouldered, and the straps are usually straight up-and-down as opposed to angled inwards.
Also, shirts or dresses with really broad or wide necklines just fall straight off my shoulders, because I don't have enough shoulder to hold them up.

Hmmm... I should really look into this. Thank you so much for your opinion and help!

helpfulWhile a lot of people swear by the Deco, it seems like it can be a pretty tricky one to fit. Since you're just starting on your bra journey, I'd definitely recommend looking into unlined cups rather than jumping straight into molded ones - unlined cups are significantly more forgiving shape-wise, since they can move a bit with your breasts rather than being locked into one shape in a molded cup.
The Deco is pretty good for full-on-top shapes, which I'd have to say you are not. The lack of space in the bottom causes your breast tissue to push down on the cup, likely resulting in the wire slipping down and the wrinkling you find there. The tissue that can't fit any more squishes out the sides.
I'd also venture to say that your band might be a bit tight, which would also cause some of these issues by pulling parts of the cups too close and tight to your chest, like a shoe that's too small would constrict your feet. The only difference between feet and boobs is that your boobs can - and will! - squish out and escape.
I'd recommend looking at an unlined bra with a little more projection that's a little more closed on top. The Cleo Lucy in 32F is a pretty good bet.

I'll have to try that one out! I was thinking of exchanging this for the Alana bra, would you recommend the Cleo Lucy over that? My boobs are pretty pointy so I'm hesitant to try something that doesn't cover them pretty well.
-
I'm not terribly familiar with the Alana or Bravissimo's bras in general, but their measurements are pretty similar. If it's easier for you to get a hold of an Alana, I think it'd probably also be a good choice based on the measurements.

helpfulSmaller size will not solve the problem. It will just get worse because cups will be too narrow. It seems that you are full on the sides and have a lot of tissue in your armpits. Thats why the part of the well fitting bra between the strap and the underwire must be long and stretchy. In your case when you move your arms the cup does not stretch, it is just pulled forward by your muscle and that is why you have gaping.
So this bra will never fit you in any size. I tried some other Freya bras including soft cups and all of them cut into my breasts near the arms so Freya is no good for such a breast shape.

Hmmm... would you recommend the Alana bra then? Its what I'm looking at.
-
I never tried this bra so i don't know. I don't have much bras that fit. One of my best is Tutti Rouge liliana so it is the only bra I can recommend.
-
Do you know where I can find those brands? I bought mine from Bravissimo so I'm hoping to exchange it if I can.
