Bra fitting help » Quad boob, wires hurt, not sure about band size
Cleo » Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) » 34HH 34:12
This is probably my best fitting bra so far, although it's not comfortable to wear for a long time. The wires poke (mainly near the underarm), and the top of the gore digs into my sternum, leaving cuts if I keep it on all day. Why is that? Are my breasts too close together, maybe too center-heavy? How does the depth/wire width seem on this bra?
I've included pictures with the band on both tightest and loosest hooks because I'm still trying to nail down my size. It feels more comfortable to me on the tightest hooks, but the quad boob gets worse. Would a 34J or 32JJ work better?

helpfulI'm afraid this band is too big and the cups too small. I don't believe it goes up to a 32JJ (or maybe they've added the size recently?) You could still try the 32J, as it seems to have a little more room in the cup, but if that doesn't work I think this design just lacks the depth you need.

One would think so logically but the measurements on here put it at 14.5" deep, whereas she measures this 34HH cup at just 14.1". Of course the data could be off so no guarantee this is true but if she really loves it, it's worth a try.

I wouldn't trust my measurement skills! I do the best I can, but I'm still learning.

Your measurement is fairly consistent with the other data for this size, entered by other users, so I think it's worth a shot if you are keen on the Marcie.

helpfulMaybe you would be happier in a Panache Jasmine (6951) ? I would also suggest going up 2 sizes to see about Marcie, though.

I would love to try the Jasmine; it's definitely on my list, but I haven't been able to find it in a color/price/size combo that works for me yet. Am keeping an eye on the listings here and on ebay!

Actually I just found a 32JJ Jasmine in my favorite color for $25 on eBay! Ordered. :) It may be a little tight in the band, I'm not sure (they didn't have any 34s)... but I figure I could always wear an extender.

helpfulLooks like you need a bra with a bigger cup as this bra does not seem to hold you very well

helpfulAs far as the gore problem goes, I think it's just Marcie's problem. I normally have good luck with Cleo and I compared the Marcie to the Lily I own in the same size. The gore height is the same too, but Marcie will leave a bruise that lasts for a day or two if I wear it. I would try another bra.

Ah, wouldn't the 32J be the same size as her 34HH?
