Bra fitting help » Styles in my size range
Victoria's Secret » (236-400) » 36C 36:3
This bra intrigues me, even though it is miles the wrong size for band and cup sizes(USA 36C), it is still one of the most comfortable bras I've encountered. The main reason being that the underwires actually overlap at the centere between cups, so as to provide the absolute minimum separation. My boobs actually feel rather relaxed while wearing this bra because they aren't being shoved apart. The shape of the cups is also pretty comfortable for me despite being so small. I would love to be able to find bras in my proper size (70FF/70G) that are styled like this one, or at least with as little separation as possible while still having the support of underwires.

helpfulI don't know of any other bras constructed this way, though there's probably another one somewhere. You could try altering one of your old bras gore and underwires to cross as an experiment. Or maybe if it was possible to get the VS bra with the correct cup volume and take in the band? It wouldn't be great, but it could be worth a try.

helpfulThe old Effuniak HM-style bras look a lot like this one. The underwires do overlap. You might like to try some bandless bras (like Cleo Lucy, Panache Savannah) and take in the center gore so it will be very narrow. You may just prefer plunges.
My boobs are really close together but too heavy/full for most plunges. I really prefer a high gore but narrow ones are hard to find! These days I wear a lot of Panache Andorras, along with some Cleo bras. Some Cleo styles have very narrow gores, and some bandless Cleo styles have wide gores that you can take in.

helpfulWhy don't you alter the center gores of other bras, so they overlap?

helpfulI've never seen one like this. Very cool! My boobs are so close together - bet they'd do well in a overlapping gore.
Just wondering, how does that gore feel? Does the underwire press in on your sternum from just the one side?

The support is distributed evenly and it feels like a hug.

I know that some Kris Line bras are constructed with an overlapping gore. I had a 65JJ - Kris Line » Brillant Unpadded Bra (5305) with this feature which was the most comfortable bra I'd ever worn in the gore area (the bra had other flaws, but the gore was not one of them).
Brastop sells some Kris Line things from time to time, so they're a relatively easy Polish brand to try out.
Other than that, plunges tend to have very low and close-set gores, but I'm not sure whether a plunge is what you were looking for, or whether you prefer a higher, closer gore.
