Bra fitting help » Is this a good fit?
Mimi Holliday » Fete Coquine Padded Super Plunge Bra (AW10-121) » 28B 28:2
Issue resolved
It fits.
Original problem
Just following on from my question last week about the ill-fitting TLBC Yvonne.
My pics for my existing Mimi Hollidays have now been approved. The red one you see here is my favourite 28B Fete Coquine.
And here is my battered old 28C, which I've now decided is too big: http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dl34g/
Based on this, do you think the red 28B fits, and the black 28C is too big?
Also, can someone please just clarify something for me - do sister sizes usually (always?) have different size wires? So a Mimi 30A would have shallower cups but a slightly wider wire than the 28B? Is that correct?
Thanks again for the continued advice.

helpfulI'd really like to see what this (and the 28C) looks like under a tight shirt, because to me these photos look as if there was very slight quadboob. The 28C looks better to me actually.

To answer your question about sister sizing: no. MANY (most?) bra manufactures do not bother to grade their cups differently for different bands sizes. They just plop whatever cup onto a smaller/larger band e presto, we have a set of 'sister sizes'. Not only does this lead to extremes at either end of the spectrum (too narrow wires and deep cups at the smaller end, too wide wires and shallow cups at the larger end), it also leads to issues with strap placement and a whole host of other problems. SOME companies do make the effort to grade their cups differently, though, which does indeed result in wider wires with shallower cups at the smaller end and narrower wires with deeper cups at the larger end. An additional complication, however, is that not all companies truly recognise the fact that at some point breasts do not conform to the 'spherical' model anymore (volume-wise), which still leads to generally too deep cups at the smaller end and too shallow cups at the larger end.

helpfulThis is definitely a much better fit than your TLBC and ever so slightly better than your 28C. This looks super cute.
