Bra fitting help » Top of cup is empty, do I need a smaller size or different bra shape?
Parfait By Affinitas » Charlotte Padded Bra (6901) » 36G 36:9
Issue resolved
I returned this bra and opted for a different style and sized down to a 34 F
Original problem
The top of the cup is empty, do you think a cup size smaller would help or is this just the wrong shape for me? Suggestions for fixing?

helpfulI'd reccomend sizing down, at least one cup size. Gaping at the top is a sign of a too big bra.

helpfulThis is definitely not a shape issue as far as we can tell at the moment. If you can order a 36FF and a 36F, I can't tell if it's 1 or 2 cup sizes too big. Other than that, how does the band feel?

That's good then, so definitely try out those if you can, it will be easier to evaluate the fit since it's so obviously wrong on this one.

Thank you, I will do that! Wanted to make sure before I sent it back and tried again.

helpfulWhat size do you normally wear, and in what brand? I ask because I'm wondering if this is a UK/US size conversion issue. If you normally wear 36G in a brand that uses US sizing, you'll likely need a 36 F in this bra, as they use UK sizing even thought they are based in the US.

Yes I did realize this after it came! Unfortunately I've been wearing ill fitting nursing bras for.... forever. So I don't really even have a starting point for fit or shape or anything. I'm a completely different shape, size, fullness... everything since the last time I bought a "real" bra.

helpfulI don't know if this is the case but many times it is. I always check this out before claiming it's too big in the cups because many times it can be resolved by doing this. http://imgur.com/a/aARnL#0

helpfulYou should have gotten the Charlotte balconette and I should have gotten the Charlotte plunge, LOL!
--See fit request below with the Charlotte Balconette - that's mine. The balconette Charlotte isn't not the right shape for me. Drat.

The band feels firm, but good! It felt like the straps were barely needed, and all the support came from the band.
