Issue resolved
The band was too big. The cups were the wrong shape / too shallow on bottom and center + gaping on top. The wires were too wide. The bra was overall just too big and all wrong on me.
Original problem
This bra fits super weird. When I put it on - scooping lightly, adjusting wires and shortening straps - it looks like a good fit.
See my front / side pics.
But the gore does not lie flat, no matter what I try. I have taken in the gore already - it doesn't make that much of a difference.
The gore floats because it's very high and there is like no space between my boobs for a gore on top.
The band is a bit big - I need tightest setting.
But now it gets really weird:
Straps are torture, so I make them looser: gaping appears.
When I put the bra on without adjusting - I get some weird side gaping.
When I adjust my boobs into the bra, I get some weird top gaping towards the straps.
Now the bra is too shallow all over, and there is noth enough top center room / and bottom room.I don't understand the fit of this bra! I used to wear Ariza in 34J and it fitted me quite well. As they got too small, I decided to size up.
So why does 34K not work?

helpfulI think it is this; there's four pair of boobs I know better than any other boobs here; my own, MilkAndHoney , yours and Vees. But I must honestly say I'm stuck.
"On the contrary. One good example is a center gore that is not lying flat against the breastbone: this can be caused by too small cups as well as by wires that are too wide and form a triangle. (It's hard to explain and even harder to illustrate. I tried drawing a picture but failed epically. Eventually you'll understand what I mean when reading on. *keeps fingers crossed*)"
By george from this post: http://drueberunddrunter.blogspot.se/2012/04/english-reversed-letterphobia-and-war.html
I think you have picked up my old fit issues with too big cups. This bra is too shallow from start. Let's call it "Andorra syndrome" for you and me, since we have the same issues with that bra as well. Too little room where you need it the most - near the gore - makes this bra uncomfy. So you to size up. And then the bra becomes too big all over. The band isn't the issue here so no typical reversed letterphobia, but simply too big cups with too wide wires that makes the gore not tack.
Out of your bras:
Looks; Jasmine (pink champagne of course) looks best. But it gives less suport. Most compatible with your overall boob shape.
Caitlyn: Too big but most comfy and gives good shape
Bellise: Same issue as Ariza but more comfy since better fabric
Tango: Also too big and looks a little sad and definitely bad fabric. Needs +0 to look good.So you need both wide and deep cups. You have both full on bottom, close together, wide rooted and full on top boobs - literary the whole package.
So now I've pinged george, I'll also ping t_maia since I want to know what the specialists in larger cups says about it.
I'd say generally this; If you do find shallow bras supportive then wear them like this; too big, and live with the gaping at top and some weirdness from the incompatibility. And if you find too big cups in general more comfy then wear those. Possibly add extra straps and the likes. If you can now get any busenfreundinnen advise about sizing; try it. That's the only way left to try when it comes to sizing. Everything else you have already tried.
Otherwise I'll say this;
Bras will never *not* cause you any discomfort, since they have to carry so much weight. I honestly think you will need to learn to live with the pain, change bras often, change between different fits to not put too much strain on the same part of the body. And see it as a part of your life. Choose your compromises and live with it. Oh and alter bras to add extra straps and razerback options and all that.
And also this and I cannot stress it hardly enough; work out. Yes seriously get some weight and start weight lifting. While I don't know all about having big boobs I do know about constant neck and shoulder pain and knees that cannot hold me up properly because I have to weak thigh muscles.
There must be a way to talk about the problems with heavy boobs and heavy bodies without it always ending in the tedious unhealthy ideas about loosing weight or having a reduction. There must be some way to celebrate parts of our bodies that doesn't work exactly as we want them to do and still be able to live. I think for example busty girl comics does that in a brilliant way. Having big boobs are not unproblematic. But that's nothing that one cannot learn to live with
I gave up on bra fitting a couple of months ago. That was when I realized I had made this so much harder for myself than it is. But let's be honest about the fact that just as a bigger body puts more strain on the body so does big boobs. And a bra can help it, but never fix it. It's like penicillin; it comes with side effects

That's what we are generally told to do. But I think something like this; boobs gets seemingly bigger when bras redistributes from armpits to the gore. But in reality they have just become redistributed in a bra. Oftentimes they have not even changed without a bra. Like MilkAndHoney in her Braologie bra. Boobs are not larger but they are larger in the gore. And hence a shallow bra suddenly won't work. Since one gets volume where the shallow bra doesn't have it.
Also I think since you have two processes going on at the same time with also gaining weight you also gain a wider root so that you also need larger cups. And when you used that bra you will also move parts of them in the same front direction as the bras past them.
I think the larger we are the bigger and bigger our boobs become when concentrated and the larger and that this is the constant plus size sizing up circle. Ping Ereshiy do you think I got this right?
The facts; first the fat gets concentrated and quadboob easier, then it fills out on the outer parts of boobs when gaining weight, then they fill out in the front and moves closer and closer together and puts more and more pressure on the body. And it is the bras that makes that happen.

I am still not done with the theory and it is just me testing a hypotheses .

It's so difficult for me to get out of my state of denial. I do get out of it sometimes, but it's then only out of a small part :D Like when I accept some size changes after suffering 2-3 weeks in too small bras.
So I am not good accepting such things. That's why I still struggle. If I just say: Ok I changed, obviously Ariza does not fit anymore. full stop. I feel like giving up and failing. I also feel so weird towards my whole size journey since I joined bratabase:

I always felt guilty and that it's my fault I gained so many cup sizes in the past months. That I buy new bras each month and the next month they don't fit me anymore. I have to get out of that mind - set to process "other reasons" or that I might did not gain that many cup sizes but was just trying too many wrong sizes? Everytime bras started bothering me, I sized up.
I did with Andorra, Ariza, Marcie and Tango.
But - as we found out: Andorra cannot work for my shape at all! And If I think back hard I have to admit even my beloved 30J was not perfect then.
I had issues with it. I just was a lot less aware of my bra needs and my shape.
Andorra has no bottom room = it can never work. I sized up from 30J - 32J -34J and I could continue to 36J or 38J - but 38J is not made for my frame. It would end up a similar disaster like 36J Cleo Marcie.
I really have to make an adventure about straps tightening - I used to tighten them a lot - since I wear my bras with looser straps, I get less neck pain:O - but then some bras that could have looked decently will then not look good anymore: Tango was only good with tight band / tight straps. 30JJ or 30K.The gaping on this bra appears because I refuse to tighten those straps to the max! Everyone who ever owned an Ariza knows how terrible those straps are, I really cannot deal with them. I am used to normal cutting in ad red marks but with Ariza I have my limits.

Body changes can be quite difficult, whether up or down in size.
Working out with weights could help....though I have read sometimes it changes shape of the breasts and on occasion can even make them bigger. O.o
I have done some working out with weights, and do enjoy it,but haven't really been consistent enough with it to tell you what kind of changes you might see.Though I can say soon after I started my boobs grew, but am not sure if it was due to that.Oh dear.haha.
One of those stretchy exercise bands could work for you too,I find those kind of entertaining.haha
If you do decide to do one of those,it may be best if you focus on getting stronger and not your weight,as I find when I focus on my weight and not getting stronger I tend to get frustrated and give up.Which isn't good as there are tons of other good things about working out besides losing weight, even if one doesn't lose much it's good for most people.
And my body is strange as I can gain muscle, start losing fat where that muscle has been worked and will gain fat in another area!So for me it is sometimes possible to spot reduce, long as it's an area I am prone to lose from first or built muscle.alisa ,someday when I start making bras, you can be one of the people to try them out! :) Hopefully I won't fail.lol

eliza - your pinging me totally failed. It's a good thing I spotted Alisa's boobs in a fit request so thought I'd come over. Life is weird, seriously, I can spot a few of you guys just looking at the boob pics. I don't know that I agree with your theory about growing breasts, however I do know that a lot of us are taught to deal with fit issues by 'sizing up' when it won't really help. I think that because the mentality that most people come into bra fit with is being used to too small cups and too loose bands, we're much more inclined to leap to the idea of a bigger cup and a snugger band, even when that's not the best solution.
It's not a weight thing. Some of us will just have very large breasts anyway. My breasts are almost entirely glandular, and I'm a fairly small person, though a bit plush/chubby. I mean, you guys can see how much even a 28 band can be utterly unstable on me, which is partially from crappy construction not designed for large breasts, but also because I'm just very small!
I think you're the same Alisa. Just going to have big boobs no matter what. It's not about being a 'perfect' weight or anything. Yes, maybe you could find yourself as a 30JJ/30K instead of 32K/34K, but you're never going to have small, or even medium sized breasts.
Anyways, it actually looks like you're starting to have some of the really weird stuff happening which has been happening to me in bras. It looks a bit like pics of me in 30K - Panache » Ariza Balconnet Bra (5051) , except at least the wires are about the right height for you. But totally I have the same stuff with gapping up top and sides, my Ariza actually cuts in in the middle, though I wouldn't really want to size up.
I'm terrible in the sense I actually have a very high pain tolerance, so will put up with all kinds of stuff from my bras. The only reason I got worried about the cutting in underneath is because I saw what pressure sores can do to you. So Ariza's straps were a non issue, even tightened up to the max.
I think that bras in large cup sizes are made to be shallower because that's supposed to be more supportive, having your bust held closer to your chest. However, you're not shallow, and having a large, firm glandular centre, your breasts don't just take on the shape of the cups.
Fundamentally, bras are not constructed correctly. Short of being able to construct our own or having companies release bras which have been specifically designed for and tested on very full-busted women (and I don't mean EM's fashion bra torture devices), we can't expect to get the same fit in a bra as someone who's a 30G or suchlike. Bras are scaled up by making them wider and taller. We don't need wider and taller, we need deeper and more stable!
I don't think your fit in the Ariza is *bad* if it's comfortable. Also, is it just me, or do you have the weird gap in the top of your bra band problem that I have? As in, the bottom of your bra is mostly okay, but you have a lot of excess fabric in the top part of the band? If it doesn't make sense to you, I'll see if I can explain it differently.

Ereshiy Thank you for you words. I am sorry I had not answered earlier, but I really had to think about for some time.
Also I just yesterday got 2 new bras and both fit! ( 34J - Elomi » Caitlyn Underwire Side Support (8030) and 36HH - Sculptresse » Willow Full Cup Bra (6905) )
So that really changes how I look at everything. Before I was just frustrated and desperate, now I think clear again.“I think you're the same Alisa. Just going to have big boobs no matter what. It's not about being a 'perfect' weight or anything. Yes, maybe you could find yourself as a 30JJ/30K instead of 32K/34K, but you're never going to have small, or even medium sized breasts. “
^^Ah I know you are right. I am still struggling with my size – having a hard time accepting. But sometimes I ask myself, why struggle – will I be better If I just accept to have big boobs and not be miserable about it? Why be miserable about it? It's not that I can change it with dieting. I tried that. Maybe I can go down 1-2 cups that way but what will it bring me? Will I be so different in a 32JJ? Or being a 30JJ again will give me suddenly some self-confidence?
I haven't felt good about bras for a long time. I have been struggling for weeks. I have been frustrated about every bra I tried. (There were some really terrible failures like 30KK Harmony )
I felt frustrated about my size, I hated my bra size, I feared having no options since bordering on K-cup...All the issues I had with the bras I tried recently – I always reacted with sizing up. Ariza 34J did not fit me anymore. I could have tried 34JJ then. But no, it had to be 34K, since I feared everything else would be too small anyway.
Weirdly when I tried 34K on lately (just after my PMS time) it suddenly looked like loads too big! And it is! The bra is too shallow on bottom / too shallow towards the gore. The side and top of the cup is gaping like crazy!
The fit issues I described above were the same just worse.I had none of the band gaping you described. (Or maybe I misunderstood?)So actually the bra is much too big – and too small at the same time. It's just not right in shape. It will not get better in 36K. Since I was curious (after all a 34K looked loads too big) I tried on my old 34J Arizas to see if they might fit again and if I just had lost some weight, but the old Arizas were still too small and cutting in on top / and the wires were too low and narrow.
Conclusion: I give up on Ariza for good (or for now at least). It's best that way. It used to fit me well at some point, but now it doesn't anymore.

helpfulHmm...I don't have much advice, but I had something similar happen to me.My boobs grew a few cup sizes and a bra that had worked for me before, shallow and wide,no longer did.The wide wires are still great, but it's much too shallow and I'm finding that I don't need as shallow cups,it's like my shape changed slightly with my size.Noticing differences with a few other bras, too.
I'm wondering if you got any tissue migration as well...it seems from your description you now need more depth in the center of your bra and near the gore than the sides?Updated on August 30, 2013 Flag this

Yes, actually the same happened to me, my size changed because of migration and some weight gain. I started as a 30J a year before - and I'm now at a 32K in Panache Jasmine.
This is me in Andorra: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/panache/andorra-full-cup-5675/30J/pictures/ (the blue) and the Andorra is really known to be shallow in cups. At a 30J, I could wear it.
Before my recent growth spurt of about 1 -2 cup sizes, I could wear Ariza in 34J. Recently I found out that a Elomi Caitlyn, that is knows to be wide and deep in cups, fits me rather well...
So maybe I just changed in shape too...
But still - I thought sizing up 2 cups in Ariza will rule out some shallow issues. :/

helpfulI am noticing you are very tiny especially your shoulders. as compared to your breasts. I have small shoulders too and all the straps on my bras are too wide set causing gaping & straps falling off my shoulders. Your ribcage is small also. Like 30 band. I'm sorry I can't help you more.

I am still struggling with realizing that Ariza apparently does not fit me anymore :O It used to be one of my favorites (I know, I hated the fabric) but the support was epic.
It's similar to my experiences with the Tango, 30JJ used to fit me so well - and now the bra is just terrible. I really hate this. I always react to fit issues with sizing up. But I cannot size up to infinity.
