Bra fitting help » Too big bra, cup wrinkles
Wacoal » Elegance Hidden Wire Minimizer (85122) » 34G 34:7
There are wrinkles on the bottom and the top. I often have trouble w/ wrinkles on the bottom of my bras because of my projection. It's actually filled out across the nipples. The band is on the tightest hook and is loose enough to put my hand in.

helpfulThis looks very much the problem people get when they try to wear bras from brands that cater to smaller breasts and larger breasts wearing the incorrect size. It's odd because Wacoal's 34G translates to 34F rougly. That has to be the most giant 34F I've ever seen.
Just a question though, the band as far as it stretches is shorter than your ribcage measurement. How do you fit your hand underneath if it stretches to an inch and half shorter than your ribcage?
For future bra fit, I think you'd do better in a bra that's wires are about 1.5 inches narrower and definitely less tall. Overall, in spite of you filling out the deepest portion of the bra, I'd guess that this bra is too big since you cannot fill out the top, bottom, or sides.
I'd try the Jasmine because it works well on a lot different people, probably in a 34 band (though I don't know about the cup size), because that band is fairly firm (this is assuming your measurements are correct). I agree with what RG 's suggestion and evaluation. Additionally, I think Bravissimo's unpadded balconettes would be pretty good for your shape (like the Alana, Candy Bliss, Cherry Fling, Paradise Fizz, but also the Dotty Spot and Boudoir Beau). The Panache Tango Ii Balconette (3251) might also be a decent shape on you, but that's a pretty finicky bra and in spite of it's excellent price point, may not be worth it.

Okay, then. The ones I recommended run true to size to tight (especially the Tango). I'd recommend the Tango in 34GG and the Alana in 34H I think.

helpfulI agree with what has been said so far, mostly.
I am guessing that, for you, if the bottom of a bra fits, the top gapes, especially at/around the strap attachment? And if the cup does not gape at all, most of the time when you stand straight, it's too tight across the upper chest and you end up quadding? I think you are similar to me in certain ways: more immediate projection needed, vertically shorter boobs that cannot generally use shallow-friendly styles. Basically, at the same time, you fit and don't fit most bras you try?
Go for Panache Andorra Full Cup (5675), Panache Andorra Plunge (5676), Panache Emily (6101) Try the tango line, but that could be hit or miss. I'd say any Chantelle, especially Chantelle Rive Gauche 3 Part Cup (3281), but I think you may be just outside their range. Some Freya styles will fit you later in your bra journey and some with the side panel will fit you now. Elomi may fit you well.
For a sports bra, go Lynx Sportswear - shape doesn't matter as much.

helpfulHmm..I think not only is the band too big for you,but the wire is too wide? Also from what you said, maybe too shallow in some places, too deep in others.I think this bra is all wrong for you, though, unless it's comfortable.I think you'd be better off in the Panache Andorra (others please chime in as whether you think I'm right or wrong). If you don't like high gores look for the plunge version.I also saw the Jasmine was recommended and that may be better,I personally don't know much about that style yet.
Also,did you swoop and scoop?
That band is probably too big cause of the fabric it's made out of seems super stretchy, probably in a model that has firmer band, like the Andorra,it will be fine.Updated on September 25, 2013 Flag this

All wrong is right! The wires might be slightly too wide, but my boobs spring forth from my armpits, so I don't think it is by much. They were actually the most comfortable part of the bra. The gore even tacked.
I did swoop and scoop. I also did the bend and jiggle, which seems a little easier to me.
I did get to try on a few Lilyette minimizers in 34DDD and G the other day and all their (quite firm) bands were on the tightest hook. The cups gave me the same issues, but there were no other styles or brands in the store in those sizes to try.

I still agree with SparkleDarkles that the wire is too wide. Also, from the photos and your description, I suspect you are full on bottom and that bra is not ideal for that shape. Skip the minimizers and full cups completely.
Look for Chantelle and Panache. Fantasie might be too narrow for you, but maybe not. In both of those I think 34 band would be about right. Freya is another possibility but their bands run big so try a 32.

Ok. I'm actually full on top though. Do u guys think I need to size down a cup or is this purely a shape issue?

In that bra, in that photo, I do not see FOT. Sorry. I see FOB and center. Much like me.
-
I'm pretty close to even, but when I bend over the nipple is pointed slightly toward my stomach as opposed to my face. That's where I got FOT. To be honest, my breasts are so pendulous it's hard to tell.
-
That's me, too. But I "flow" towards FOB. For instance, have you tried a molded cup bra and find your breast tissue is all at the bottom? That you need it to be slightly too small to get everything back up? So I call myself full center but kinda FOB. Actually, we can call ourselves whatever we want (gorgeous comes to mind!) because we don't quite fit any category.
What I do know is that we need to forgo the full cups and most of the half cups (do you find your boobs trying to jiggle out of those? One lean over and they escape!) but look for balconette (terms vary so just look for the style) that have stretch lace on top, that isn't too tight. I have a specific bra in mind but so far, I don't think anyone makes it!
-
That sounds about right. I'll call myself gorgeous. XD I do have problems falling out. And molded cups do have to be too small to let me fill up the top edge. I used to wear push up bras w/ pads in a "U" shape since that filled up the bottom of the cup for me. Everything else causes that bottom wrinkle after an hour or so. I've had a couple of really good bras in my life (3-part cup), and so far the specific styles recommended look similar, so I am hopeful.

It looks like you tried on bras at Macy's as those brands are carried there.I tried a few on when I went there just in case and they were all TERRIBLE for me.

helpfulKeep the same size as this bra's band stretches a lot. I don't think this bra is going to work on your shape at all, as it is a minimizer so it is not going to have a lot of projection and looks like you need a less wide of wire. Like the others have said try the jasmine.

helpfulYou should try going with a smaller band, when a band is tight and supportive enough migrated tissue will not be able to escape the cups because the wires sit firmly against the body so the cups might fit better.
If you are wearing a too loose band the migrated tissue will always escape back under the armpit and the band will feel tight and the cups will be wrinkly.
I would try 32G or 32GG, even a loose 30GG and 30H.

The bra measurement was way off. I've fixed it. My body measurement is accurate.
