Issue resolved
I remeasured myself and I think the problem may be it is one size too small. I am going to try to up the size, use the strap holder, and possibly try some other styles
Original problem
I was recommended this bra after posting my last bra and although it does fit much better than any bra I've tried I'm concerned about a few things...First, the straps are really wide set and it makes it hard to move my shoulders. They could be loosened to put one of those strap clips that makes it racerback. Would this be worth it?
Second, the gore still doesn't lay flat which makes the cup gape as my breasts settle. Does this mean I should go up a cup size? If so will the first problem be worse???
Any help would be much appreciated!

helpfulI'm wondering if the molded cup on this bra is just not a good shape for you? Because from the front the cups look a bit small, but in the angled shot they look too big. I have that problem with some molded cups because my breasts are so soft that if the fit isn't perfect they just kind of...fall down in there. Putting the straps on one such bra I have into a racer back position does seem to help some, so its worth a try
How is the band fitting? Sometimes a gore not tacking can be from a too loose band.

If your measurements and the bra's are correct, the band should fit well. Since the gore isn't laying flat, the fullest part of your breast might be pushing it outward. Have you swooped and scooped in these photos? It's hard to tell from the front shot because of the shadows if the wires are sitting right. The wire should be right up against the crease at the bottom of your breast. If it's not, reach in and lift you breast with one hand and tug the cup up with the other. Re-positioning the breast in the cup may help the gaping too. You may need to tighten the straps to keep it from sliding back down.
On the other hand, if your bra is definitely up where it should be in these photos, then this is probably just the wrong shape for you. If you have short or shallow breasts, this style may be too tall. The racerback idea may solve more than one problem, so it's worth a try. I have very short breasts and converting a bra to racerback often helps if there's extra space at the top, a problem I often face with plunge styles.

So I did the swoop and scoop before the front facing photo but from moving around by the time of the angled photo it has slipped down a bit. I think I'm going to get one of those bra strap hooks and see if that will help and also remeasure myself...maybe I was inaccurate the first time!

Ive had similar issues. Im full on bottom. Soft boobs and shallow. I cant make molded plunges work. I like balconettes with vertical seams only. Like longlines. Ive also taken to moving my straps in on some of my bras. That makes the straps less wide and im able to fill the cups more. Ive got two deco half cups coming i. The mail. Im hoping those will fit since i love the deco but it wont fit.

ugh! It does sound like the same issue...except I can't seem to find balconnettes that work because the gore is always too wide and too high it ends up digging in and I have to take it off within an hour :(

take the gores in. Look for ones with close cups such as Juna. Or EM

It sounds (and looks) like you have close-set boobs, like me, and yup, it makes most balconettes really painful. The only balconette that I like right now is the Panache Emily, which has a very narrow gore and soft spandexy cups. It seems to work best for people who are fuller on the bottom. You could also try plunge bras that have some structure or stretch lace cups if your breasts slip around in a molded style. I'm a fan of the Andorra plunge (the gore is a little higher and more separated than a typical plunge), and many people like the Idina plunge as well. Good luck :)

Thanks for the help I'll definitely check those out
Thanks for the feedback...The band seems fine it's quite firm and doesn't ride up in the back which is why I thought maybe it was too small a cup
