Bra fitting help » Way too small in cups?
Felina » Lush Lace Add A Cup Seamless Convertible Bra (150144) » 32D 32:4
Issue resolved
Too big in the band and too small in the cup.
Original problem
I own this bra in nude, black and pink. I know it is too small but any ideas on which size I should be wearing? I just tried an unlined 32DD but it seems too big in the cup as well as the band.

helpfulyou're a 28 band at least, I couldn't say your cup size based on your measurements. When you try on bras make sure that the underwire sits at the root of your breast, not hanging under your boob like the one here. I'd suggest using a fit guide and taking a few more measurements (leaning over and measuring your breasts, specifically) to get an idea of where to start.

helpfulYes,I would try a 28 band, though 30 may work for the very firm bands that don't stretch as much.
You look very similar in size to one of my favorite singers, well,at least,a few years back. She was wearing a 32D or 32DD too and needed a 28 band.
I think you need around a 28G like her, though maybe a little smaller cup. That's just a starting place, though,in some bras you may need to size up or down in cups or band.I'll use some of the most popular bras on here that have measurements you can compare to as examples.
I would think you could need a 28FF or 28G in a bra like Freya Deco (4234) .
For an unlined stretchy lace bra like Panache Andorra Full Cup (5675) (there's a plunge version too),it seems like you would need a 28F or 28FF.
For a brand like Ewa Michalak ,many of their bands run very small,I think a 30F in for those would be good.Luckily there are lots of measurements entered for Ewa's bras on here in that size range so you can check measurements as you figure out what works for you.
All of those bras have a cup depth of around 9 inches in those sizes.Except for the Ewa bras, they vary from model to model. It does seem like you are fuller on top and may have to size up a bit in models that are more closed at the top.
It's weird cause a 40D and 42D seemed too big for me and that was when I needed a 36FF,so I was trying a band 4-6 inches too big,yet when I tried the proper size it worked.Updated on October 7, 2013 Flag this

You're welcome. :) Ewa's bras can be rather nice for cleavage if that's what you are looking for. Also the narrow wires if you find them to work well for you.I haven't tried them yet but when I get a few I can let you know what I think of them.Though we are different sizes I too have the same "problem" of spreading out when laying down.
I actually think the Andorra would be a good bra for you to try first when when figuring out your size.Especially since it doesn't make the laying down issue as obvious,I think I got very little gaping or it seeming too big in that one when I laid down.I got the wrong size and the gore was too high for me,but it is a lot higher in a 36HH than a 28F.If you prefer lower gores you may want to try the plunge version instead.I'm considering trying that one too.Ebay has them and there could be a few listed on here.
And as Jillsas is similar in size to you,she would have very good suggestions. :) -
I just checked out Ebay, they do seem to have a ton of name brand stuff for reasonable prices! Thanks (:

helpful28f-28G. In parfait 30 ff-30GG. This website is very good in determining which sizes you would take in different brands. My breast perimeter is 9.5-10. My best fitting bras are 28FF.MY 28 F bras are feeling too small lately. When I see 8 inches in cup depth that is too small for me. The bras that are bigger than 9 in depth -10 inches fit me the best. I hope this helps you.

Thank you! I was noticing that one of the measurements on here for bras was cup depth. I haven't found any other website that does that! I'm guessing the fact that my bras cup depth are inches smaller than my breast peremiter is bad. Lol (:

I think 8-9 inches depth would work well with you.

helpfulI think you should probably try out a 30 or 28 band (if you don't have a lot of fat, I'd guess closer to 30). Have you scooped and swooped? If so, I would look for 30F or 28FF maybe with narrow wires (since those wires look alright on you).
