Issue resolved
I have sent this bra back and am trying a 70K, so a bandsize and cupsize down on the recommendation of Avocado, will update with new bra when it arrives
Original problem
There is far too much loose fabric in the upper cup of this bra, I'm not sure how much to size down and whether if I size down enough to get rid of the loose fabric in the top of the cup it may become too big in the bottom, there is a little wrinkling in the bottom of the cups but otherwise a reasonable fit. The back also seems a little loose so I think I would also size down there as well

helpfulI honestly think that this bra is not for you, sadly. The underwires seem like a great width for you and getting it in a cup size smaller might be too narrow? I don't know, I guess you'll be the best judge for that. It seems like a cup size down wouldn't do much for you.

helpfulSo Avocado does have 5 different "types" of bras - the Kyoto you have on is classified as a balconette model A and it is my understanding it has fuller coverage than the other two balconette models. The model K is "less bra" with shorter cups. There is also a model H, which according to missunderpinnings.com, has slightly wider wire than models A and K. (She actually has a post of her wearing each different model - seeing the same person in the different cuts was more helpful to me than ay written guide!)
I also have a model F and found it to have short enough cups for me as well.

Thanks for the reply, I really like the Vedette which is the K shape so may try that

helpfulHaving too much fabric in the top means you should avoid most full cup bras as the shape is not compatible with your shape. I get this because my boobs are bottom/center heavy and pendulous (also known as sagging). I find a cup with a lace top section is best for me. Can't really tell if you could wear a half cup (I can't but that doesn't mean you can't). In that brand, anyway, you should go down a band size, but see if they have different cup styles to try.

Thanks I do get on well with bras with lace top sections, i just liked this bra so much I didn't really think about the style, not great with half cups eg. Masquerade Rhea either

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I think you are right as the bottom part of the cup seems to fit well but there is so much room in the top
