Issue resolved
Pretty decent fit!
Original problem
I have gaping and quadboob in every one of my bras that "fit" me. Also, the straps are always too far apart. Jillsas mentioned that my breasts might be omega shaped and recommended Comexim, and here's my first trial! I think she's correct. This bra seems to fit pretty well, but I do get some quadboob when I move my shoulders back, as the first picture with the shirt shows.
Is this a well fitting bra? How are the wires? They seem too narrow, but they feel comfortable! The strap separation is amazing!

helpfulIt looks good to me! I might try just one cup size up to see if the quadboob issue goes away completely, but it looks like a good fit as is, so it might not be worth messing with. What really matters is if it feels comfortable and supportive to you.

helpfulIf you only get quadboob when you pull your shoulders back, I guess you have to ask yourself if you want to change something to resolve it and perhaps create another problem. From the pics and your statement that the wires are comfortable, I think you should go with your intuition that Jillsas is correct. It looks like she nailed it and it looks great. You are a lucky girl. Congrats!

helpfulI think the fit looks really great! I also get some slight quad boob when I'm realllly forceful with my shoulders and figure that as long as it doesn't happen in a relaxed but upright position, it's not terribly important. The fit really seems to complement your shape.

What I don't like is that I don't have to be that forceful to get the quadboob, but I think in my natural state, it's okay.
Thanks, I'm glad that I finally found a bra without immense gaping at the top! This is a huge thing for me!

helpfulLooks good. I have quadboob too in many (all?) my bras if I move shoulders back - I kind of thought this is what naturally and inevitably happens to everybody? maybe not...
But the bra looks good and if it feels good, too, then congrats, I think you can say it fitsUpdated on December 5, 2013 Flag this

Thanks! That is what I was thinking. I'm hoping it gets better at a different time of the month or after a few washes.

helpfulThis looks lovely on you! The wires look a touch too narrow, but if it's comfortable I wouldn't bother, especially because narrower wires mean better support (until you can't get all of your breast tissue into the bra as a result). Regarding the quadboob, how often to you lift your arms like that? Does the quadboob bother you for any reason (comfort wise and appearance wise)? Do you prefer a cup to lay flat and then quadboob in certain situations or the cup to gap and lay flat in certain situations (because that is basically the choice we all must make when it comes to wearing imperfect bras, I personally choose the first with padded cups and the second with unpadded cups)?

Thanks! It actually feels like a band size down/cup size up would be a perfect fit as my tissue makes it's way out of the cups, but I'm totally excited that this bra seems to contain my boobs and isn't way too high causing seriously obvious gaping! I just have to adjust myself a few times a day and it fits great! It doesn't ride up at all, and with the less tight band, it doesn't cause any "back fat".
The quadboob, I guess it shows up in every bra, but I've never had the choice between quadboob and gaping because I always get both, which is why I had to ask.
It's just super exciting for me to figure out why I've always had fit issues! Now, are there any great resources for omega shaped breasts? I can't seem to find anything other than trying Comexim and the Persia.
Thank you once again for the wonderful shape suggestion!

Apparently Bestform can be good for that but they don't make much near your size. I have similar breasts (though more full on bottom I think).
Just curious as to why you think sizing down would be good? On one hand it can pull the wires a little further back making them wide enough. On the other hand, it will likely exacerbate any quadboobing you might be experiencing. I feel like this could be a happy medium for you, especially since it doesn't ride up and is comfortable.

Hmm. Well, I guess because I'm not used to having to readjust at all during the day while wearing a bra in my actual size range. I figured a cup size up would have slightly wider wires that would stay put better in a tighter band, but if the band stays put, there is no reason for me to go tighter.
Also, I'm concerned that the band will stretch out quickly, but i have no reason to worry about that yet.
Thanks for making me think about it! I'll reevaluate the size/fit once I've worn the bra in and I'm considering a new one.

This is what I was thinking. A cup size up might eliminate the quadboob, but I think it will cause more gaping. I'll keep my eye open for one, but will stick with this for now.
Thanks!
