Bra fitting help » Floating gore - 30ff Amour non padded Pour Moi
Pour Moi » Amour Underwired Non Padded (PM-1502) » 30FF 30:8
Issue resolved
I think the cups are just not deep enough near the centre for me. The bra is othervise comfortable an I don' feel unsupported.
Original problem
I like the shape that this bra gives me - somewhat minimized, centered, uplifted, not too round an a hint of cleavage. However, the gore floats, and it sits on one of my breasts.
Will this improve if I size up in the cup (and what will happen with the hint of cleavage)?
Or the gore floats because of the shape of the bra. I've no idea about the shape of my breasts (Fob, Fot??), but my Tail of spence comes right into my armpit. I'm swooped and scooped.Thanks.

helpfulMy guess is the style just isn't for you if you feel like you're losing support because the gore isn't tacking. It looks like it otherwise fits well, which I think means that if you went up in size that you'd be sacrificing support in other areas, as well as your shape and hint of cleavage (it would get pointier, baggier, and probably less cleavage). It's either too shallow or the gore is too wide. If the floating gore is comfortable, I would keep it because you think it looks good, and the fit is otherwise good.

helpfulIt looks like the cups are too small. You may also try to loosen straps a bit.You could try a bigger cup size, and if it doesn't fit it means that model just isn't for you.
BTW if the gore looks like this, it means that it just doesn't fit. There are very few bras with different construction, where the gore sits differently (like wonderbra ultimate strapless). In some deep plunges there are no wires in the middle so it also looks different. But in classic wired bras like this one, the gore should lay on the sternum, between breasts. When the bra is too small, breasts push the gore away from the body and I believe that's what's happening on the photos. This may be tolerable, but it isn't really the right size or how it's designed to fit. I think it's much better to find a right size, even in a different model.
If you really like that kind of shape I guess you could try some shallower bras in type of Curvy Kate's Elegance. They slightly flatten the breasts and push them up so you get slightly minimised look from the side and a bit of cleavage on the top. Some women hate it, but I think it looks good under some types of clothing.

helpfulIt could be that you just have close-set breasts and the gore is a tad too wide for you. I have the same problem with most of my bras...but if you wear it for a full day and it's comfortable and your breasts don't fall out of the bra then by all means, keep it!

I apologize. I keep posting things twice and I can't figure out the problem.
