Issue resolved
I will get the 30 DD.
Original problem
Hello! I would like to ask somebody to help me. This is my first bra which seems to fit well, yet I am a little bit unsure due to the fact I had many previous bras that were very bad.
As soon as I tried to put it on me, I realized it is very tight, small in the band so I use it with an extender sewn by me, in picture. Without it, I get a little quad boobs, which seems that small band distorts the cups a little bit. My real question is, do you think that the cup width is ok? What about the rest? First time, I thought wires were wide on me, do you think the same or it's just me unsecure? Comfort wise, it feels very good, but I hadn't worn it yet...I am writing this fitting help post to be sure if I have to return it or I can keep it. Please excuse my English, even though I learned it a lot, I don't have a person to practice with, so it became poorer. Thank you a lot!

helpfulThe wires do look about a cm too wide. Perhaps Freya unpadded would be a good match for you in 28?

Hmm, so I thought..I am unsecure because there is no empty space left at the sides of the cups, but when I touch that area it doesn't seem to be some part of my breast tissue. I have one Freya Latisha, but unfortunately it's too small in cups, I think it's about 2 cups difference, so I wouldn't know what to say. But for sure, I'm going to try Freya, maybe it'll be a better fit regarding wires. Maybe I should try 30 bands? Freya Latisha 28 back band isn't so tight like Cleo Zia..
-
30 bands for sure might be more comfortable in brands like Cleo and Masquerade. Freya runs pretty loose, so 28 bands in Freya will likely be more comfortable than other 28 bands.
-
I've almost got the same ribcage measurements as you, and I wear a 30 in Cleos like this (extended by one set of hooks) and also in Freyas (halfcups, though - Freya balconies would never work for me - but the bands are supposed to be the same). My bands stay put, even if I move a lot.
-
That's interesting...maybe I overdo it. I use an extender myself too, which I attach to the last set of bra's hook and then I fasten my bra using the second column of extender's hooks. I know that these things are standard, but because I made the extender I can tell I lengthen the band with 4.5-5 cm. I'm going to try to lenghten it max, fastening the bra at the last column of hooks just to see the difference, even though it's comfortable. It's right that I haven't worn it a couple of hours at least to see the real thing. Thanks to both of you! I'm looking forward for more opinions too!

Maybe also check if the wires still seem so wide with about 6 cm extension. IMO the Zia looks pretty good on your boobs :-) (or your boobs look good in Zia). Wide wires usually aren't really a problem as long as they don't poke you or you lose support.
-
Thank you very much! I tried the last set of hooks of the extender and it seems the top part changed a little bit too,in a good way. I notice in some pics it seems like the top part it's resting too much on breast, now it's lighter. About wires, the light mark they left was just very little far apart, like less than 1 cm and just at the ends of wires in the armpit area. That's because they aren't straight up. So,it seems the main problem it's the small band.Thank you again!

You're welcome. What you write about the top of the cups changing makes a lot of sense. The way the wires sit now sounds good to me too :).
Does the band stay in place with this long extension when you stretch up your arms (I always pretend I want to get something off a very high shelf to check this) and move wildly (crazy dancing, throwing your upper body around)? -
I'm trying now,it seems that it doesn't move. I can fit comfortably 3 fingers and when I pull the back part,it creates a space of 5 cm (where I put those 3 fingers).
-
That sounds good to me but it's always better to really test it before spending lots of money on shipping.
I think Zia will fit you in a 30DD (hi, size twin ;)), which will be just 5 cm longer, and the good news is that there are a ton of nice Cleos with almost exactly the same cut :). -
You made me want to exchange this bra with a 30DD or to buy it and compare. That's because I will wear it with an extender all the time and if so, it's better to exchange. Even if it stretches I don't think I will fit in the original band. I'm looking now at differences between the two size in the measurements chart. The only difference it's in the band lenght? My worries are about not being wider in 30 DD. I know that I will see the real product when I will receive it, but just so, approximately. I bought it from ebay and it's a little complicated to exchange/return because I'm not the owner of paypal account etc, but I have his approval, since he's my boyfriend. This is why I ask so many questions :-)
-
"The only difference it's in the band lenght?" - It should be! The cups should definitely be the same, the band MIGHT be a little slimmer (wing height), but I don't really think it will be.
"My worries are about not being wider in 30 DD" I don't understand this, I'm afraid.
If the seller offers exchanges and still has Zia in a 30DD, I would definitely go that route, even if it's a little complicated. -
Oh,sorry! My English is not so good, I tend to use my primary language sentence structure and it become a mess , even tough I try to do my best :-) I would like to know if the sister size has almost the same wire width or it is a difference. But since you told me the it should be the same cup, I guess it'll be the same width too in the cup. I'm writing a message to the seller, he/she has the 30 DD in stock, I don't know if exchanges are available. Thank you for your great help!!
-
You're welcome, and I also think you're doing well with your English :). The wires are the same in sister sizes, yes.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that you'll be able to exchange the bra without any problems. -
Thank you very much!! Very kind of you:-) I will try to gather that armpit fat or breast tissue and I will see what happens :-)

helpfulThis bra looks good on you! I think you got the cup size just right. I think if you went up a cup size it would project too much for you.
It appears that some of your breast tissue is escaping around the sides--combined with the fact that you felt it was a tad too tight, I think you should try a 30E in this. The 30 band will have slightly wider wires and give you some more wiggle room.

Hi! It's impressive how many other fitting problems can create a too small band. I'm glad that it's ok and seems that it doesn't show big problems. I think you are talking about my near armpits area, right? I have there some tissue (armpit fat?) which creases even if I am naked. That area forms an imaginary waving vertical line with my boob contouring line, I don't know if I managed to explain well..sorry! This still means that my breast tissue is escaping? I have this problem in nearly every bra.Or should the bra have higher wires? I'd like one.

"I think you got the cup size just right. I think if you went up a cup size it would project too much for you." does not go with "I think you should try a 30E in this." ! She needs to order a 30DD to keep this exact cupsize.
"The 30 band will have slightly wider wires and give you some more wiggle room." This is wrong. If anything the 28 band makes the wires wider by pulling them to the sides.
AnnaVarvara, I think what you refer to might be either armpit fat or breast tissue. You can try stroking it into the cups every time you put on your bra. If it's breast tissue you might eventually be able to move it into the cups.
I have this too, and it's still where it has always been - not a problem, really! -
Whoops, yup, my bad. 30DD

I apologize for my comment repeating. Something is up with my computer.
