Bra fitting help » Why doesn't it fit?
Freya » Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) » 32G 32:9
Issue resolved
I might need a bigger cup size.
Original problem
Seriously, how can it not fit? The band is pulled too far down in the pictures but it doesn't affect the way the cups fit. There's quadraboob from the straps to the center gore.
I also have a Femme Fatale Plunge bra by Gossard and a Freya Patsy Halfcup bra in 32G. In the first one, I spill out in the middle and in the second one, I get a bit of quadraboob and there's empty space in the sides. In all three of them (and in a 32FF that I have), I feel more comfortable when I fasten them in the last set of hooks (and I get more quadraboob). But I'm too big for 30 bands! Could it be because I'm all squishy due to weight loss?
I'm looking into trying polish bras because Jillsas says that I need narrow underwires. So, should I only buy polish bras? And in what size? Because I'm getting convinced that I'm bigger than a G cup but it doesn't make sense...

helpfulof course too low sitting band affects the cup fit.
the whole bra is sitting too low on you!
http://blog.butterflycollection.ca/2012/11/are-you-wearing-your-bra-too-low.html
the overspill you get even from this bad pics looks typical of a bra too low.also, the numbers???
- if you have 21cm horizontal perimeter and this bra has 27 cup depth, you should be swimming in it.
- if the max stretch length of the band is the same as your loose measurements, the ban is more likely to be too small then too large. that would also explain why the band is sitting so low on you.
- and a lying perimeter of 9 cm? what exactly were you measuring?the bottom line is - we can't really help you without you measuring both yourself and the bra properly and putting some better quality pictures up.

It's not sitting down there by itself, I pull it down there because I have breasts underneath my breasts. I used to wear too large bands and two small cups and I literally have breast tissue everywhere. My breasts look twice bigger in a bra and they fold in three sides.
The only number that was wrong was the 9 cm because I got confused and wrote it down in inches. Otherwise, I can't really measure my breasts because they really do change in size when I manage to get all the tissue in the cups. Most of my friends have had me measure them because they hoped to see difference.
I'll never be able to take better pictures because I can only take pictures with my shitty cellphone. I do apologize for that.

If when you pull in all your breast tissue and they spill out of the cup, then the cup is too small. It could also be possible that you're being too aggressive with scooping the breast tissue and grabbing tissue that isn't actually breast tissue. I don't really understand what you mean by breasts under breasts... It's either all part of your breasts or just fatty tissue that does not need to be in the cup.
To my knowledge, it should never be an ordeal to get all your breast tissue in the cup if the cup is large enough.

There's a bump under each breast. Like a/b cup breasts without nipples. I hope that makes sense. :P

I'm not familiar with what you're describing. It could be that you have something else going on that we weren't aware of and that's why our advice isn't working for you. Hmm, does anyone else have any experience with this?

My mom has it, too, except hers are way bigger. I think that it's a matter of soft tissue which gets pushed underneath the breasts. My mom's breasts grew eleventy cup sizes in a month due to hormones she was prescribed and they've always been very soft. She also wears tragically small cups. She also has two bumps of breast tissue on her back because of it.
I used to wear D cups that were probably too small. I have a beauty mark less than an inch from my nipple and it wasn't covered by my bras, if that gives you an idea. The bands were huge, so when I gained too much weight, too abruptly, I didn't change them. And then after I started losing, I still didn't change them for a long time, my breasts sagged and that was when I got the bumps.

I'm not sure what you mean, but "breast tissue everywhere" makes me think you could have shallow breasts. http://www.venusianglow.com/2013/03/examples-of-shallow-breasts-nsfw.html

I mean displaced tissue. Otherwise, I have horizontal/oval shallow breasts as it turns out, I keep saying it wrong. :P Venusian Glow has a post on those, too: http://www.venusianglow.com/2013/12/horizontal-oval-shallow-breasts-with.html

helpful"Too big for 30 bands" - can I ask what you're basing this on? If it's just your measurements, remember that measurements are just a starting point - and that 31 as your tight ribcage puts you into the 30 range if you want a snug bra. Also, with the Deco, it's customary to order a band size down and a cup size up from what you measure at, so even if you're been normally ordering a 32G, most people would order a 30GG or even 30H in the Deco. Same with the Freya Patsy - tends toward a stretchy band.
It's really hard to tell with the low quality pictures, but I almost want to say your overspill is from very soft breast tissue instead of because the cups are too small. If that's the case you're going to want to move to balconettes or something more enclosing instead of plunges and halfcups. People with very soft breast tissue tend to spill out of plunges regardless of whether the sizing is right.
Edit: A downvote? If you disagree or there's something I can clarify, I'd appreciate knowing. I'd love to have a discussion about the fit to better help, and if there's something I'm not seeing correctly having it pointed out might help me make better suggestions.

As for the picture quality, maybe try taking them in a bathroom or somewhere with lots of light :)

I agree with laurel_leaf . Up a cup size and down band size. Then if you can't wear the bra high enough use an extender. The cups look too small
-
I've lost weight since and the Deco is still tight whereas I can take off the Patsy (which is the same size) without unbuttoning it.
I do think that I'm spilling out because my breasts are soft. But I think that even half cups would be too tall for my breasts. That was certainly the case with the Patsy...
I'm just waiting to lose all the weight and then buy Polish bras and hope they fit better.
-
It's not likely to be that simple. EM and probably Comexim's bras are definitely easier on soft breast tissues, but they introduce their own issues. It's pretty crucial to get and understand as much knowledge about why a bra is fitting the way it does before you'll be able to identify issues in other bras.
Also, weight loss does not necessarily mean your breast size will go down. I've lost 40 lbs and my breasts only stayed the same or went up. Just a warning.

I have this thing where my breasts start nearly at my collarbones but they become visible tissue well under my underarm if it makes sense. Venusian Glow has a post on them, she calls them vertically shallow breasts. I used to buy half cups and plunges but I was wearing the wrong size back then. I don't know if I can even wear half cups now. At least on the Patsy, you can see the empty space on the sides that come up higher. You can't see it on the Deco because it's moulded, which is generally what I like to wear even if I don't find them as pretty.
I have an Ewa Michalak PL and it's a lot better, that's why I want to try other polish bras. I've also read somewhere that they generally make them more revealing (can't think of another word), so I think that it will help. The PL fits well, I don't spill out and I get cleavage, which is nothing short of a miracle.
I've lost 100 pounds and the same is true for my cup size. What I meant was that I don't want to order a bra and go down a band size by the time it arrives.

helpfulThe bra is sitting way too low on you. I have the feeling that if you pull it up and get the wires in place, you'll find you need to go down in the band and up in the cup. I'd estimate you to need about a 32H

I force it to sit down there because that's where it feels comfortable. When I pull it up, it feels like my breasts are spilling out from underneath, so I pull them up but the bra goes down instead. I keep waiting for the displaced tissue to go back where it belongs (I was told that it would happen) but so far nothing has changed...
-
Spilling out of the bottom is a band size issue. You need a tighter band and a larger cup
-
No, it used to be a big band size/small cup issue. Now I'm just dealing with the results. As I said above I have bumps of breast tissue under my breasts.
-
I'm pretty sure Snowfey is right. The bra is sitting too low. The reason the displaced tissue hasn't moved back to your breasts is because you have to scoop and swoop it into your cups. Just placing the wire below the tissue won't encourage it to move up. If you go down a band and up a cup like she's suggested and scoop the displaced tissue into the cups rather than sitting the wires below them, I can bet it'll start to migrate back into your breasts.
-
I scoop and swoop but if I so much as move my arm everything spills out again, especially the bulge in my underarm. Or is that because the cup is small? I'm just afraid that I'll no longer find shapes that fit in 30H. I barely do now...
-
That's definitely a sign of a too small cup. If you're spilling out that badly, you might even want to check out a 30HH
-
I would like to add that wearing a bra higher is more supportive as we'll. You're losing potential support here! I recently got both this and a Comexim and they both work well on me. If I had to guess I would say this is fine on you. Wearing a bra too low will created the illusion of a riding up band and too small cup. Yank it on up!
