Bra fitting help » Unsure what size to get for next order
Comexim » Audrey Plunge Bra (190) » 65H 30:8
Issue resolved
One size bigger
Original problem
I bought this bra before in a 60K and the band was too small and the cups too big so I got a 65H instead. I would like to order another comexim bra (green velvet)but I don't whether to order the same size as this bra as the gore doesn't lie flat and I can fit my thumb in the space. Any advice would be much appreciated

helpfulIt's really hard to tell what's going on from these pictures. If you could add pictures of the sides and 3/4 shots from a tiny bit farther away, that will give us more information.

More photos added. I think I have a narrow root and not much center fullness. Hopefully the pictures show the gore not tacking. If I push the gore closer to my chest there is definite quadboob so maybe the cups are too small. The wires also slide a bit and I've tried pulling them back but they slide back.
-
I THINK you could go up one cup (quadboob when you push the gore in is generally what that means) because of the gore and wow, those wires are narrow! But i don't really know anything about comexim so hopefully someone else chimes in.

helpfulBecause of the amount of tissue above the top of the bra, I'm also inclined to say you could go up a cupsize, but like melifish I'm not familiar with Comexim so I don't want to give you a hundred percent recommendation.

helpfulI can't help a lot here as I am also unfamiliar with Comexim and no kind of expert, but to give it a shot, I am thinking it sounds like the cups may be too small. Also perhaps try a band size down to stop the sliding? From my knowledge, it's likely either sliding because the cups are too small and not sitting flush with your rib cage, or because the band is too big.
According to their sizing chart, you'd be most comfortable wearing a 70. Is there a reason you sized down? Just like tight bands? Is the band good on this one?
Perhaps a 65HH or 65J depending on just how big the 60K cups were if you like the band. It doesn't look like any quadboob in the pictures, so I'm thinking it's not a too far off so perhaps 65HH would be best. Or a 70H if you want to go up in band size.
Have you tried adjusting the straps to see if the gore will tack any better?

The band is good maybe even a little bit too loose on the loosest hook so I think the 70 would be too big for me. I have the straps quite loose tightening them made the band ride up and the gore gap even more.
-
It really does sound like it's too small in the cups to me because I get this exact issue in my bras that are too big in the band and too small in the cups.
Unless someone else has another suggestion I wonder if it might not be worth trying a 60 band in this model and try a 60J and wear an extender until the bra loosens up. It is odd though because your sizing should have solved the issue if their size chart was accurate but perhaps you're in between sizes. Just how big were the K cups? Do you have any pictures?
Out of curiosity, are you sure your horizontal perimeter is correct on your measurements? 26.7 inches would be smaller than your torso if I'm understanding right. It'd be easier to recommend a cup size if we had the measurements.
-
I think the K cup was about 2 sizes too big. I've got some pictures of it on here. Sorry I don't know what you mean by 26.7 inches. I just remeasured and it's between 10.5 and 11 inches.
-
I was referring to your horizontal perimeter, but I misread it and mixed it up with an over bust perimeter sorry. I'm looking at the measurements listed trying to figure out your bust depth and comparing it to the bra measurements but it seems they're incomplete and not accurate unless I'm just very confused. Well cup in Comexim goes up by 2cm in depth instead of 2.54 cm. Without proper measurements I stick by my original suggestion of wearing an extender with a 60J until the band loosens up a bit.
But if your depth is between 10.5 and 11 then the K should have been about right for you.
-
I've added other measurements if that helps.

Great, thanks. If you feel comfortable in the band (if it isn't too tight) I would recommend a 65J purely from from your measurements and the bras measurements as we could be sure it'd have enough depth for you. However, you already tried a 60K and believe the cups were too big, so I'm thinking you should get a 65HH based on experience.
I find it very hard to figure out whether to go up only one cup size or two still. One thing that bothers me is that I don't see any quad boob in the picture but you say the gore is floating pretty far away which seems to mean at least two cup sizes for me. Here is one simple thing you can do to help figure out how much quad boob you're really getting - tack the gore with your finger. If you're getting just a little quad boob, do one size up (65HH). If a lot, you will know that the 65J will work well (but again, you said the 60K was too big)
If you decide you'd rather err on the side of one size too big because at least you will have nailed down your Comexim size pretty well now and will be able to decide if you can make the bra work with padding or other methods. But if it's too small, there's not as much you can do.
Well, sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but I hope I've helped a little. Good luck, I'd love to hear what happens as I'm still learning.
P.S. If you find the band at all uncomfortable, your measurements suggest a 70 for comfort on Comexim's size chart, so that'd be a 70H.

I second this, plus a little more information about your shape and what you are observing yourself from this fit.
