Issue resolved
I now know that the cup size is definitely too big and will be returning the bra
Original problem
I fear this bra might be too big, I ordered it in the same size as my cleo melissa, thinking they would be the same. I'm only not filling out the top of the cups, so it could also be because of my fob breasts. I can't get this bra in a 28GG or 28G so I'm thinking of trying this alteration: http://dressingcurves.blogspot.nl/2012/03/alterations-moving-strap-position.html since the strap position is also a problem for me, and this pretty much eliminated the gaping on my cleo melissa. But would it help here? If it really is a cup size too big I might be better off selling it.. I think the band is the right size, it's a tad tighter than the melissa, which was loose on me. I really hope I can still make this bra work for me, it's so pretty and gives a nice shape.

helpfulMeg is known for running generous. Most people find they need one cup size down from their normal size, and some will need two. It's a bit of a tricky fit, being both closed and generous on top, so you need to have just the right shape to fill the bra well. The newer sister cut Cleo Lily is a bit easier to fit and considered to be more true to size, so if you want a similar shape, a Lily could be a better choice.
To me, this looks too big all over on you as you've got wrinkling top, sides, and centre, and if you wanted another Meg, you should definitely try a cup size down. The smaller size should have slightly closer set straps (I'm not sure why all large cup balconies seem to have the straps in your armpits) which could be more comfortable as well.

drownedsalad I got a really good fit in Meg in 30J when I was about a 28K/KK (it's really impossible to get a good grasp on my bra sizing these days owing to lack of actual options plus my breast shape) when I altered the band. I think it worked well on me being slightly fuller on top and short rooted. I'd say Meg ticks the box for short boobs and should give you a cute retro shape and put your boobs up front, but with you being a bit fuller on the bottom, I think you'll struggle to fill the upper section of the cup. Then again, what's new about that? :(

OH, that's good to know. Thanks!
I'll see how the 34G fits and depending on how the band is, I might have to try 36FF, 36F, and 34FF to find one that works for me.
I just wish there were 3 hooks. I feel so much more supported with a slightly wider band.

Thank you! You are right, it really is too big and I will be returning the bra. I can't get it in a 28G or GG right now but I will definitely be on the lookout for those sizes, and for the lily you mentioned (loving the cute parrot print!).

I agree with Ereshiy. I think 1 cup down would be good to try for you.
It seems like the Meg is shaped more for globe-shaped boobs and/or ones that are more even vertically vs. horizontally. I have short boobs, but I'm still trying the Meg 1 cup down from what I typically wear in Panache brands because I love the dark blue bird print so much. I think it'll still not fit my shape, though.
