Bra fitting help » Cups way too small
Masquerade » Orla Non Padded Balconnet Bra (7031) » 30E 30:6
Issue resolved
Bra isn't designed to give much coverage. Just need to get used to style.
Original problem
The cups on this bra do not cover much of my boobs at all. I'm not used to soft-cup bras but don't think that's the problem here. I usually wear Freya Decos in a 30E - I'm told their sizings are a bit off. What size should I be trying?

This is what the term "balconnet" USED to refer to before the British brands reinvented it as a more modest, covered-up style that Brits and Americans are more comfortable with. If you do a google image search for Masquerade Orla you will see it is very low coverage on just about everyone.
Your next step depends on how you feel about this style. If you are in love with this specific design because it's pretty, you can try sizing up by 1 cup to see if that helps the slight quad boob effect. This probably won't afford you a huge increase in coverage though. I wouldn't advise sizing up too much because the width of the wires will not work.
If you are OK with a sexy, low coverage bra as a concept but want to move away from the Orla to solve the quad boob, try a different balconnet style that does not have this band of fabric at the top--this usually makes the whole design more closed at the top and the band tends to dig in.

Thanks! I think then the issues are just the low-cut of the bra which I'm not used to. Seems very strange leaving so much boob out of the bra but it is a very pretty bra so I might just put up with it.

Yes it takes some getting used to :-) For me the proof is in the pudding. If I can wear it all day in a knit top or tee shirt without gradually quadboobing to the point of almost falling out, or feeling like wibbly wobbly bowlful of jelly, then the size is fine. If the boobs start "climbing out" of the bra after a couple hours of active walking around and so on, then size up and see if that helps.
You don't want to go too big in this style of bra because the support is not usually industrial strength to begin with--so a too-loose cup can do all sorts of unpleasant things, like crease underneath, wrinkle on top, allow you to sort of slosh around in there... most problematic!
And if you are OK with what appears from the pics to be a very small quad boob problem, you have found a bra that looks great on you.
