Bra fitting help » Bra wiggles down, quadboob, slightly wide wires, sort of okay fit?

Issue resolved
I decided to take in the centre gore. It only needed a few millimetres, and now it's much better. Yay!
Original problem
First time I'm in a Lucy-based style. The wires are a little wide, I get a bit of wrinkling at the side/bottom of the cups. The gore doesn't lay completely flat; there's a small fold in the fabric in between the wires and it sits on my breast tissue just a teensy bit. Just like everything else, it fits fine at first but slips down after a while (I believe this is because of my ribcage being v-shaped) and a wild small quadboob appears. It's not disastrous in any way and I *can* wear it - it's just not perfect.
What should I do? Just go with it? Or alter? Take in the centre gore? Can I do that to a bikini bra? Or should I give up and send it back and wait for the Marcie-based longline bikini top that appeared to me in a dream last night? (I'm not joking. I almost went to order it this morning when I woke up)

helpfulWell, it depends what you want out of your bikini, you know? For me I only care that it looks cute and could care less about the fit except insofar as the fit affects it looking cute. I think whether or not you "can" alter the gore depends on your sewing skills; if you can make it look good/invisible, then great; and if not I wouldn't try it.
I think it looks awesome on you but you seem pretty underwhelmed by it, so I'd just return it and get one you like better.

Thanks ladies, I always get caught up in the little things, I suppose I just expected it to fit as well as some of my bras. I have decided to keep it as I love the colours and it fits so much better now that I've taken in the gore a little (honestly I was scared to do this as I've only ever altered bra-bras and I thought it would fall apart or something). I'm much happier with it now!

helpfulCan you pin the gore to the width you'd alter it to, and see how this works before making any decisions?

Yeah, I did that, I only had to take away a few millimetres, it's much better now! I wasn't sure how the swimsuit fabric would take it, but it worked. Yay! Thanks!

I agree. It looks really fabulous on her! Honestly with bathing suits getting soaking wet and sand or whatever on them, I personally wouldn't be so caught up with it fitting perfectly. With that said, if she isn't into it, there are probably better options out there. The search continues!
