Issue resolved
Shortened the band
Original problem
This bra fits wonderfully in the cups, the gore is tacking well, but I feel like the band is too big. I can close it all the way right out of the shop and sit both hands under it easily. I have a lot of "squish" so I tend to size down into 30 bands, however this style only gets made to a 32 band. Any suggestions on how I can improve the fit or other similar bras to try?

helpfulI know some people on here will alter a bra band down in size; I've no experience with it myself, but there are tutorials out there on how to do it. A simpler, less sewing-intensive way, might be a Rixie clip, which I understand works like a reverse extender.

helpful29.5" unstretched and 34" stretched is atypical for a 32 band. It looks like this model might just run large in the band, or perhaps you got a bra that was a return (if you got it online) or that was tried on by tons of people and has been stretched out already. This happens a lot with popular bra designs, for instance when I first tried a 32F Chantelle Rive Gauche (very popular here in the US) in a department store, it felt suspiciously loose. The saleswoman was ready to go look for a 30 band but instead I asked her to get a couple more 32Fs from the back and we compared them to the one I'd tried on. Lo and behold, the one she'd brought me was almost 3 inches longer unstretched than the other two! It was at the front of the drawer and was the one everybody tried on.
If it turns out it's not a stretching issue and it's just this model that runs big, try other Fayreforms. I have a Fayreform bra that's a few years old, one of their seamed cup models. The band definitely does not run this big, in fact it's nice and snug.

Thanks for your advice! I remeasured just to be sure and now I'm getting 26" unstretched and 31" stretched. I must have gotten them mixed up with another bra! Does 26", 31" sound reasonable for a 32 band?

That does sound more in line with what you'd expect for a new 32, yes. How is the band behaving? If it just seems loose but doesn't actually ride up, and is comfortable, it doesn't matter how many hands fit under it. If it does ride up that's probably going to be a problem--try a Rixie clip or look into getting it altered, it's not expensive usually (or do it yourself if you have the skills!)
Incidentally I don't have a lot of seamless bras because I prefer seamed, but the ones I do have are "comfort" designs and this does seem to translate to stretchier materials throughout: softer wires, stretch in the cups, stretch in the band. This will definitely mean you can pull a band out further. However, comfort and support will depend on the quality of the materials and how long they retain elasticity and "snap back." The seamed bras I do own are Anita nursing bras and I wore the two of them absolutely nonstop for over a year before the bands started riding up. If this is similar quality you'll probably be OK; if not, consider alterations as I mentioned above.

Hi there, I have this bra in both a 32E and F and I have to alter the back in both. Because the back band is so thick and straight it is super easy to do and will look great once done. All you need to do is sew the sides in a bit. You won't need to cut your bra.

Thanks for your advice! Found a couple of tutorials and will give the alterations a try.
